The Balboa Island Museum was founded in 2000 to preserve the history of the unique communities of Balboa Island and Newport Beach. It is located on Balboa Island's "main street", Marine Avenue in a vintage cottage that was built in 1947. Noted as one of the best small museums, it showcases artifacts and photographs depicting early life.

The Balboa Island Museum has a great collection of pictures and items from the 20s and 30s. See how much the island has changed since then! If you like history we will enjoy this small, intimate museum.
