After enjoying the cabin, drive up to Glenn Ellen for a stay at the 'Jack London Lodge'. The chocolate shop is a must along with the terriffic 'Indian' resturant within walking distance.

It was pleasantly shocked to see this, as i was walking past it and it was just sitting right there, it has been there forever of course, and it's just a fantastic little find...... I believe this is a historical building. Truly a little log cabin with a little bar, meant to serve those in need of little elbow room. Located adjacent to Jack London Square's eateries, it's a novel place to wet your whistle.

Alright place to visit. I was generally disappointed by the whole of Jack London Square. Mostly just restaurants. All attractions close at 5 pm.

No cost. A small quiet spot right downtown by the water. You can touch it. Walk around the building. You may not enter, but you can see and just wonder how people lived. Great teachable moment for children.

If you happen to walk by, take a look in. It's neat that this piece of history and culture exists and is on display. Kids will enjoy peeking in. There's not much to it and it doesn't warrant a special visit.

If you happen to be in Jack London Square take a quick peek at this old cabin of his that was moved log by log from its backwoods home to Oakland and to a location in Canada (not sure if they added logs so each are half old and half new or decreased the size, probably the former.) It looks... More

A tiny cabin on the modern Jack London Square, this cabin-cum-saloon is a Jack London fan's cup of tea but there is nothing about his history or books at the site. Take a peak when in JL Square, which IS an attraction.

A tiny cabin in the middle of the square...but nice history and easy to see. You can't go in but it's accessible and interesting to see how he lived for a while while writing.

This is a nice little piece of history on the modern Jack London Square in Oakland. It was moved to this site, to commemorate Jack London's years writing in Alaska. He spent his later years living in Oakland California and the city honors him with this site.
