Cultivated with passion and a singular vision, Opus One produces one ultra-premium Bordeaux blend a year. A collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Opus One arose out of passion. And beginning with the first harvest in 1979, every vintage of Opus One has expressed the vision and passionate spirit of its founders. Our goal is to create a wine of ultimate quality that reflects the traditions and innovations of both founders. Visiting the winery is by appointment only.

We visited several wineries in Napa, each with their own unique character. Opus One was definitely at the top of the price range and felt more like visiting a fine jeweler than a winery. Everyone was very formal and gracious and it was a great...More

That's one of my favorite wine, we had the 1979 and eversince we ordered cases, finally we were able to visit their winery, we tried the 2011 and 2013 vintage, each cost $65 but definitely well worth it.

Not only did we pay $50 per glass of wine but there was no description from the person pouring the wine. The wine was just poured in the glass and then we sat and drank it. You'll find a lot cheaper elsewhere and as good...More

Really amazing wine but $40 to $65 for a 4 oz tasting is just ridiculous when there are so many great wineries so close. The grounds are pretty and there are comfortable seating areas to enjoy your glass of wine. If you have not been...More

We had a tour inside, walking through the facility. Two glasses for tasting of opus, as just "tasting" so little amount. no matter how you calculate $200 for private tour per person (one guide no matter how large group) is over price. How much can...More

The wine at Opus One is amazing. In the tasting room you can choose from three different four ounce pours. On the day we were there they were priced at $25, $50 and $65. While expensive, it is delicious and a great way to taste...More
