- John RCarlsbad, California744 contributionsGreat Wine Tastingone of the best wine tastings we have ever had, Mainly because of "Shane Price" who did the 1 1/2 tasting of about 16 different Chardonnay's and Cabernet's. Plus a secret Merlot that we did a blind tasting with. The tables, cheese and snacks made it perfect. Absolutely incredible afternoon.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 September 2023

- DreamaGCary, North Carolina370 contributionsGreat tasting experienceWe had a great tasting experience at this vineyard. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable without being pushy. The setting is beautiful with both indoor and outdoor options for your tasting. The wine is pricey but the quality of the Cabernet is worth the cost.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 June 2024

The Cabernets at Nickel and Nickel are so good, with way too many to try. Each one has its own personality, due to the different souls where the grapes are grown.
This is not a cheap ticket, but if you looking for a truly great Cabernet experience, you will not be disappointed here. Of course, they do have other varietals to try.
Savannah, our wine host, was both gracious and professional.
As this property has corralled horses, hopefully you will visit them. Both are wonderful animals.
Again, if you are looking for a nice experience in Oakville. You will want to make a reservation here.
All Covid protocols are being followed here.

Eric was our host. Did a solid job of providing us information that we didn't have about the history of Napa and the winery. Also did a solid job of providing us an opportunity to taste many of their really excellent wines as well as a few off the menu. The space was beautiful and we enjoyed I'm sure we will be back

My husband and I have been there before but this time our friends wanted to have a private tasting, and wow it was amazing. Beyond expectations. I love that we had our own dining room to taste, we’re able to taste anything we desired, and we’re able to have a cherished one-on-one experience. Shane Price was our host and he was extremely helpful, kind, friendly, and made the experience for us. He even gave me a wooden crate box with the gorgeous Nickel & Nickel logo on it, which now has a place of honor in my home. I was so touched he would do that for me. Visiting this winery was a highlight of my trip, and for all of us. The gorgeous grounds need to be explored almost as much as the wine needs to be tasted. This is a must see stop, but make reservations and request Shane. Then you will have a perfect time.

Upon first arriving here, our AMAZING wine educator, Savannah met us as we walked up with two glasses of amazing Far Niente Chardonnay and thanked us for being there! What a PERFECT way to start an incredible tasting visit!!
Their grounds are stunning… buildings are amazing… landscaping was picture-perfect and customer service was outstanding! We enjoyed learning about their single-vineyard verticals and the terroir that affects nose and palate of each, even though they are all cabernet sauvignon and the same vintage. Loved this learning experience!
Loved being able to walk around, taking in the scenery while snapping pics… they have beautiful horses to check out while there as well.
We’re so very happy we became members here (many months ago, before ever visiting) and we were able to visit, it helped solidify our decision to maintain our membership! We’ll be back!!

Don’t bother with this place. We had a reservation. We were a little early, they had us wait around while they took a walk-in and wanted us to wait while they helped the walk-in. There are so many other wineries, do yourself a favor and visit wineries that value ALL customers

We had a terrific experience at our Nickel and Nickel wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful- the original farm house and all the fresh flowers made for a delightful back drop to their amazing wines. Our wine educator Andrea took time to teach us so much about the Nickel and Nickel wines and wine in general- it really added to our experience. The Nickel and Nickel portfolio is full of many estate 100% cabs all of which have unique characters.
This was a highlight of our trip and I would definitely recommend a stop here with Andrea.

We went to Nickel & Nickel for a tour and tasting. Our host, Shane, was awesome! He was knowledgeable, funny, and made the experience fantastic. Of course it also helped that all of the wines we tasted were incredible. They have some really amazing history and architecture on this property. If you're looking for a tasting that will set the bar high, book this one!
