A really beautiful property, fun to see. Not your typical tour, as there is vast history with this place. Rory, our host was fantastic and a delight. We were not really Chardonnay fans prior to this tour, but have fully converted as a result. A must, but plan ahead, they book up months in advance!

One of the few places I think is worth getting an actual tour. It looks like a hobbit-crib outside The Dolce sweet wine is really special. Def make a resy here. Unicorns fit in well here!!!

So, why 4 instead of 5 stars? I don't think the tour did that great a job on the technical end, the tasting was good, but other wineries provide a better tasting experience, and the wines were not worthy of the price. The last two are subjective (maybe we didn't have the best group or tour guide) and of course... More

Gorgeous grounds at this family owned winery. Attention to every details from the landscape to the nicely set wine tasting room. Our host Rory was very engaging, knowledgeable and passionate. Great wines

Not cheesy or stuffy, very friendly. 40,000 square feet of cave. The husband, God rest his soul, fell in love with Chardonnay. You need to go to hear the beautiful story. Some labels environmentally friendly n put chestnut at the end of the barrel which is painted with the Cabernet for esthetics. Who does this? Again, detail Bottom line, if... More

Of the many wineries we have visited, this is by far the most beautiful in regards to the grounds. This particular property requires advance reservations well in advance. The 1 1/2 tour and tasting is 65.00 per person. Their wines are rather expensive...with the reds being around 100.00 or more a bottle and the Chardonnay 60.00+. I was a little... More

We tried to make reservation prior to going to Napa, but was not able to. The Winery told us to call them once we get there to see if there is any cancellation. And we were very lucky to get a reservation to visit the winery. The wine is delicious, the place is beautiful and peaceful. The cave where the... More

This is my happy place. The wine is amazing and the staff is very polite and engaging. I am a member and have been on the tour 4-5 times now. It was the same, nice tour every time. Rory changed the route and included more interesting stories and her personal touch, which made it very enjoyable. I love the wines... More

What a wonderful time we had at Far Niente! The winery originated in 1885 and restored for a period of 3 years in the 1970's to perfection! Our tour brought us into the caves where all the wine is stored. It was such a wonderful experience to go into them. Katherine was super informative. Any time I was about to... More
