We stayed at the Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort which was just blocks away. This train is clean and took us to the Old Town San Diego before heading to La Jolla. Really a fun inexpensive beautiful way to see the coast of California. Highly recommended for a day trip.

Have you ever thought about ridding a train but thought it was too much? Well, look no further than the Coaster. The coaster is a very cheap alternative to get from north to south or south to north ($11 for a round trip ticket (maximum fee), or $12 for an entire day pass, and you can use your pass for... More

This has become my preferred way to get to the airport in San Diego from Oceanside. For seniors, the fare is just a couple of dollars. The schedule is pretty good, but allow time for a short bus ride from the San Diego Coaster depot station to the airport. You definitely have to have a ticket on the Coaster, and... More

Took the coaster from Oceanside to Old Town San Diego. The train was not busy and it was very comfortable and spacious. The views were beautiful!

Rode the Coaster from Oceanside to San Diego. It is a very clean train. Seems to be on time. It was a slow ride allowing us to view the landscape as we passed through several towns. It was a nice change from driving to our destination.

My plane was delayed flying into San Diego and we ended up in Ontario,Ca and had to be driven down.. My daughter had been waiting for me but since there was no time given on our arrival I said go on home.. After getting to airport I found it was a quick bus ride to the Coaster station and after... Our family rode the Coaster from Oceanside to San Diego Santa Fe Depot for the afternoon. It's a great value at $11 RT and no stressful traffic! It's a very clean train and a comfortable ride to enjoy the ocean views from the top level.

Free wifi, restrooms and tables. Nice, clean train. On time and fast. A great way to travel the coast and still see it.

I took the train from ANaheim to San Diego, and it was fantastic. Pretty reasonable fare ($28) and I was able to work as there was free wifi, with a very good signal most the whole way. There were also some very nice views along the way.
