About
Ojai Olive Oil is a fourth generation family owned & operated farm, and the oldest producer of extra virgin olive oil in the region. We are certified organic, and one of the few local working permaculture farms. In addition to award winning olive oils, we also produce an array of world class balsamic vinegars, and food grade olive oil based skin care products. We are open 7 days a week from 10am-4pm for tastings & shopping, and are open on most holidays. We do not require any reservations. Pets are very welcome. Tastings are $15 each, include fresh bread and as many samples as you like, and may be shared. Locals discounts are available. Come visit our 200 year old heritage olive grove, learn about how olive oil is made, and get all of your questions about selecting, storing, and cooking with olive oil answered. Ojai Olive Oil is proud to be one of the Ojai Valley's most unique and well enjoyed destinations, and we look forward to seeing you at our farm :)

- Sarah WStroud, United Kingdom93 contributionsSo many very tasty oils and vinegarI visited Saturday afternoon. I had to drive through a ford to get there. You have to pour out the oils yourself into mini cups then go and sit outside to try them out. I suggested having a sheet of paper to write down which you like. After 21 samples I got confused! I bought 3 small bottles as a result. I think they could refund the $15 you pay to taste, when you buy a bottle of oil or vinegar.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten 23 March 2024
- beetrvln2,210 contributionsA Must To Visit When in OjaiThis gem is off the beaten path and well worth a visit. We drove back up into the hills above Ojai, drove through two small creeks to arrive. We parked, entered the tasting room and were greeted by Beth. She was so helpful and friendly. The tasting room is fairly large and filled with a variety of olive oils all made from the olives that grow on the property and Balsamic vinegars from Italy. The tasting is well worth the $15 We filled our paper cups, put them on the tasting board along with the sourdough bread we were given and walked out to sit at a picnic table under the olive trees to taste, savor and enjoy our picnic lunch. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful and all of the oils and vinegars were high quality and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, learned a lot about the olives, varieties, harvest and making the oils. Back in the tasting room, I picked up a few of my favorites and we said our goodbyes. A real gem in Ojai.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 June 2024
- contaakt33Honolulu, Hawaii205 contributionsOjai Olive Oil is a Hidden Gem of OjaiWhat a great experience! Ojai Olive Oil Company is a Hidden Gem of Ojai. It can be a little adventure trying to find the olive farm, but the discovery is worth it. Although visitors are not generally allowed to walk around the farm freely, it does provide enough of an immersive experience. The working-farm is well maintained and the small store is modern and clean. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The sampling selection is quite lovely: they serve it with multiple selections of olive oils and imported balsamic vinegars. The Tuscan Herb oil and Pomegranate balsamic vinegar were outstanding. My friends purchased multiple bottles as gifts. A lovely and charming al-frescos sampling experience.Visited August 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 7 August 2024

What a fun side trip! We went to Ojai for the day and it was blazing hot - and we didn't really have a plan - so we decided to find Ojai Olive Oil since we were driving and didn't want to do more wine tasting.
For $10, you get to taste a variety of oils and vinegars while sitting out among the olive trees. We didn't bring any extra food or drink, but it is a lovely picnic spot.
The oils and vinegars were already really delicious and the packaging is very pretty, so we ordered some to be delivered to our home and got it in 3 days.

We had a lovely morning at this farm doing a delicious olive oil tasting. The staff could not have been any nicer and for a very reasonable price ($10) you can sample olive oil and bread to your heart's content (they have bread available but we also brought our own). We loved the garlic olive oil and white balsamic vinegar and bought them for purchase. There are several tables outside in the shade where you can eat. A really enjoyable morning!

We usually purchase local food products on our vacations, so decided to drive from Santa Barbara to this Ojai Olive Oil Co. Free with adequate parking. Beautiful serene grounds for a walk or a picnic with lovely old olive trees. The tasting room is clean and the employee who helped us was convivial. Many unique flavors of olive oils and all grown and processed on site. Also, vinegars available.
A plus: The bag you're given to carry your purchases is nice enough to use
as a gift bag.
The pricing is a bit steep at $20-$27+ depending on size bottle you purchase.
Would recommend and will return if in the area again.

Enjoyed our stop here and had fun with the tasting. My friend and i shared which was perfect.
We dropped a load of cash-which, when you spend over $100 i think they should waive/credit the tasting fee!
Would stop again... Nice picnic tables to sit and do your tasting.

Although it is a bit tricky getting to this spot, a side trip to Ojai Olive Oil was worth the effort. Directions on their website were most helpful in finding them. The surrounding area is filled with picnic tables and hammock swings, which is pleasant and peaceful. We only had a small sampling of the olive oils, which had to be taken to our own picnic table, most likely due to COVID-19. I would like to come another time to actually sample more of the oils that I am interested in vs the sampling that was pre-packed for us. At least they are doing what they need to do to keep everyone safe.

Love that you can pay $10 to taste all the oils and vinegars. You can really taste the difference in the origins of the olive oils. My two suggestions would be to give better quality bread for the tasting and also a possible discount when purchasing multiple bottles. Otherwise a beautiful activity to spend time outside amongst the olive trees. Bring water as a palate cleanser!

Tours closed. Could not view olive oil processing. Nice outdoor area to sit under the trees. Did not participate in the olive oil tasting for $10 since could not take the tour.

Our address is 1811 Ladera Road. As you go up Ladera Road off of Thatcher, keep bearing left at every fork. It will look like you're going up Hermitage Road, but that is correct. Then follow the signs to Ojai Olive Oil!
