Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of my favourite stops on Route 66.
I do wish Elmer were still alive so I could have met him. I’m sure he was a great character. All credit to his son for allowing us travellers to stop by despite no one being on site. A couple of people stopped while we were there and were in n out in seconds obviously not understanding why Elmer created the ranch.

This is art in its most imaginative form, what an inspiration Elmer must have been. It’s lovely to know people show respect and take their photos leaving nothing behind except their thoughts.

My sister and I took our mom here on a road trip from Vegas to LA. It was a cool place and worth the time to find and stop. We took tons of pictures. This was our favorite stop among the 6 stops we made

We stopped by on the way to Vegas. It’s a good 2.5 hour drive from San Diego and was a good break. It’s along Route 66 nothing but plots of dirt land.

Depends on where you look, the hours listed may be different and I read that visitors come and the gates are locked. But I saw somewhere that they open at 7am and I emailed to confirm but never got a response. We took a chance and got there 8:45am. Surprisingly they were open with a sign that says “Welcome come on in”. It’s a wire gate with a latch that you let yourself in. We spent a total of 15 minutes.

It’s just a bunch of glass jars, antiques and iron works. Saw an old rusted cash register, sewing machine, hood caps, random various items large and small, high and low. Very photo worthy from all angles.

Stopped on our way home from Vegas and it really wasn’t too far off our route. It’s on historic Route 66 which is cool. Doesn’t take long to go through, but is fun to look through and stretch your legs from driving. Very interesting to see what has been made from old bottles

🌟 Elmer Long's Bottle Tree Ranch: A Magical Journey Through Time

A cool little place that's free to check out and won't take more than 10 minutes to see everything. We stopped here on our way to Vegas. It's got lots of interesting bottles and cool art made from old stuff. Definitely worth a quick stop!

Driving by, almost missed it. Plenty of room to park my RV on the side of the road, this is worth a visit. You can spend as much time as you want, it was a really hot summer afternoon, so my visit was short - long enough to get a few pictures.

I've heard of the Bottle Tree Ranch a while ago and I happened to be in the area so I thought I'll stop there, late on a Sunday afternoon. I was the only person there and there's no real parking, just at the side of the road. I've traveled the world but this place was one of the most bizarre places I've ever seen, in a very good way. It is a very unique experience, it's crazy to walk through all the trees and see all the things. Something you won't come by very easily and definitely a must-see in case you're around!

Very interesting collection. I really enjoyed his design. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be getting much attention since he passed away. Pretty junkie in areas, with a lot of broken glass. No restroom for such a long drive, but could look really nice with a little TLC

Here is the correct address. As of May 2014, TripAdvisor had the pin about a mile away from the actual location: 24266 National Trails Hwy
Oro Grande, CA 92368-9729
Great place to take photos, especially later in the day as the sun gets low.
