Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful place! I loved it! Very calm setting but with enough people there. You may rent kayaks. Families, pet friendly, and bike friendly. Families brought blankets and sand toys for their kids. There is a long paved pathway to walk and gaze at the ocean. There are some rocks that you're able to climb to view the ocean and take gorgeous photos. Local small coffee shops, cafes, and gas stations (currently $4.80/gal or so).

If you are visiting Lovers Point, be certain to take advantage of the park. It's a lovely spot with some nice sculptures and benches that make it most enjoyable. It would be a great spot for a picnic lunch or bring your coffee to just kick back.

First, I will start with the fact there was a decent parking lot right there. That isn’t always the case around these parts. As it was December when we were there, it was almost empty. There is a little park-like spot here and you can sit, look at the ocean, the coast and just relax as the breeze washes over you., While the view is not spectacularly dramatic, it is sweeping. Restful, actually. There is at least one restaurant, a cafe, a burger place and more to have a meal. Or you can bring some food and munch on the bench. A handful of trees provide some shade. There are a couple of small beaches on the right side, there. One of them had the waves lapping over almost the entire beach. You can even just bring a book and again feel the breeze and the smell of the ocean. There’s a hotel, maybe two right by the Park, which is a reasonable location to spend a night. How long you stay depends on you.

I've been coming to Lover's of Jesus Point since the '60's. When I lived in Santa Cruz, I used to drive down at night to just sit and be alone and pray. I was part of a business group that used to have late night meetings at the Tinnery eating prime rib sandwiches. A wonderful peaceful place.

This beach is a family friendly beach with clean restrooms and access points along with stunning views. I wish we could have utilized the kayaks that were available for rent but alas, we had to just watch the sea lions and otters from the shore.

Great views and easy to walk paths. Lot's of good pix taking locations, just remember this is Idiotic Pacific Grove and you must wear masks everywhere or you can get fined.

Originally: "Lover's of Jesus Point", this small, stunningly gorgeous peninsula protrudes out into the Monterey Bay, and is the true heartbeat of Pacific Grove. Serving as a destination for numerous nonprofit events, races, weddings, Quinceaneras, and family barbecues, the highlight in my opinion is the "Sunrise Service" at dawn on Easter Sunday, which draws Christians in celebration of the Rising of Our Lord. Visitors can take in both surfers and otters enjoying the waves, access the protected beach (the water is cold!), or rent a bike or kayak. A game of volleyball can be enjoyed on a sandy court, and the children's pool is open throughout the summer.
Grab a burger at The Grill (outdoor seating only), dinner at The Beach House, or a pastry, latte, panini or salad at the cafe located behind and under The Beach House.
Spring brought the return of the cast of "Big Little Lies", where the fictional "Blissful Drip Cafe" was erected and Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Streep filmed the sequel.
Annually, near the end of July, the week-long Feast of Lanterns culminates with a Chinese-inspired Pageant (performance) on both the pier and the water, concluding with a firework display.
Please be cautious of the waves which can be unpredictable, turbulent and deadly. Never turn your back to them! Bring a jacket, as it is often very chilly or downright cold.

Can be a busy place, but it is a lovely view spot for a picnic or just to sit. Small beach in the cove keeps little ones busy. Some take kayaks out of there. At the grill area one can rent a bicycle to take on the nearby trail -which is a fantastic place to ride along the coast.

The park itself is well maintained and big enough for walks with your dog (on leash). Spring and Summer have a great coastal view of purple flowers and its a super place to get some wonderful photos. The beach area is not what it used to be years ago, so we would not recommend swimming and most of the good restaurants like the Old Bath House are gone, but you can find what you need (food-wise) about 5 blocks up on Central and Lighthouse Aves. Expect to see it all in 15 to 20 minutes and then be on to your next spot.
