Ocean View Boulevard offers spectacular views of Monterey Bay, along with up-close looks at sea otters, birds and sea lions. Whales have even been spotted in the bay. The beautiful homes lining the street are worth loking at too. Weddding photographs are often shot in the park that runs between 9th Street and Carmel Avenue. The heavily used walking/biking/running trail... More

Wish I'd known about this amazing small US town years ago -- would have bought up tons of commercial real estate. This is the best of America -- barbershops, cafes, old movie theatre, shops, galleries. Friendly people -- come and stay for a week!

We recently returned from our second visit to the Monterey Peninsula in the past five years, and this time we were lucky enough to rent a condo on Oceanview Boulevard in Pacific Grove. In addition to being treated to views of waves crashing against the rock formations that line the shores of Monterey Bay every time we looked out a... More

Best Free activity in Monterey. This is a walk from the Monterey Aquarium to Lovers Point. The paths are wide with many benches along the way. There is a large green grass area between the street and the shore. During high tide it is a great place to watch the waves. During low tide you can walk out on the... More

Walkers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters...they are all out here for the beautiful bay and ocean views, fresh air, divided path. There are benches along the way to stop and watch otters, sea birds and sometimes whales.

Lived here for a year and this walk never got old. It is always beautiful regardless of the weather. Do not drive it, walk it.

The day before we did the 17 Mile Drive, which cost $10. It was very nice, but I think this free Oceanside Blvd drive is better. What you really want to see is the spectacular waves breaking over the jagged rocks. Oceanview has a much longer stretch of coastline with more waves and more spectacular rocks. The 17 Mile Drive... The views are beautiful as you weave your way along the water line of the great Pacific Ocean from Monetary through the quaint little town of Pacific Grove. There are plenty of places to pull over along the way and enjoy the beautiful sights; sea birds, listen to the surf, the rock formations and just breath in the fresh air... More

This drive is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen! It is true...best things in life are free! There are places to pull over, walk and bike.
