This is a 3 mile circular trail and depending on which direction you go up can be a challenging course. When you get to the top there is a great view of the valley. Be sure to take water, it can be a hot. The...More
We are in Palm Desert and needed to walk off at least a little of last night's debauchery. We found this trail on Google Maps. It's ok. You have a choice to go left or right so we chose right. It turned out to be...More

This trail walk is a good workout for those somewhat fit. We opted to start going to the left because that is a steeper and harder part of the trail. It was a bit more challenging than I had expected. I’m 55 and in pretty...More
This trail was more vigorous than I expected. There is quite an elevation increase to the top. The path is easy to follow and well-maintained. No wildlife here, really, but the view is amazing. Great trail for a run and easy to get to. Bring...More
This is a vigorous workout with a great view all the way to the top. Take LOTS of water and wear your sunscreen. People are friendly and you'll see oldsters, athletes, families and groups. Go early to beat the heat.

The total distance is three miles and the hike takes over an hour to complete. I always go clockwise as I like to get the hard stuff over first. It is a circular hike with the right side being steeper and shorter and the left side being longer and less steep. There is an additional hike at the top which takes an additional thirty minutes. If you have time and the hike has not worn you out I would very much recommend the top portion. It is a go up and come down the same trail hike. In the summer it can be very hot and I have seen rattlesnakes up there so just be cautious. Water is a must on this hike, especially in the hot weather.
