Wonderful

The trails are well kept and can handle anything from beginner to advanced. There's a nice gift shop that provides advice and an interesting movie about the area.

We visited here again in 5 years, but there was not enough snow as we expected. But, it was still very good to enjoy this mountain.

We visited before but had no time to walk all of the trail. The visitor centre is informative and there are clean toilets there. The hikes are well signposted (which I love, because we often get lost). On a sunny day you would do well to take a bottle of water and a sunhat as there is no shade here.... More

Stop and take in the wonderful surroundings. The landscape is beautiful. Between the flowers, desert and mountain range, the view is stunning.

We had a brief afternoon visit there in our travels around Palm Springs. Enjoyed a short hike on the well-marked attractive nature trails in this desert park. The visitor center was clean with interesting exhibits and well-staffed. Would have like to send more time there.

Get maps and information about this beautiful area - 4 hiking trails, 2 are only open from Oct - Dec as they are bighorn sheep habitats. Wonderful 45 minute film on the monument.

Go here. Grab great photos, maps and walk through the outdoor gardens. Very clean public restroom fun activities and lots of little freebies for the kids.

Wife and I go out of our way to visit anything "National", or managed by the NPS. We read about this National Monument while staying in Palm Springs and made the trek. What a terrific Monument, very upscale, beautiful, incredibly well-marked and informative, and loaded with dedicated volunteers. We talked with two volunteers extensively, enjoyed the Visitor Center displays, learned... More

We found this place to be a good one for all the info we wanted about local flora and fauna and recreation possibilities.
