After we visited the Agua Caliente Museum next door we wandered into the Ruddy's Museum. What a great discovery! When you walk in you are greeted by Sally. She is a fount of information not only about the museum but about the history of Palm Springs in general. Spend some time speaking with her, trust me you'll enjoy it. The... More

We enjoyed our stop at this little museum displaying original items you would see in general stores of the past. We recognized many of the items and were amazed at the mint condition of the packaging. Everything is neat and organized and the person at the desk was very friendly and informative.

During our trips to PS we typically come downtown for dinner and stroll the street before and after our meals. As a result, the museum has already closed for the day. This time, we decided on an afternoon walk and are glad we did because Ruddy’s Museum is a real delight. Imagine taking a moment in time from a 30’s... More

I saw the photos online prior to our weekend getaway from LA. It was the first place we looked for when we hit town. Easy to find, the slight admission of ninety five cents was as quaint as a nickel loaf of bread. The two ladies who were there were quite knowledgeable about the vast inventory but the most fascinating... More

Interested turn back in time. Very small, interesting conversations pieces for kids about how things used to be. Honestly, probably won't spend more then 10 minutes in the store.

American pickers would have a field day in this store. I stopped by out of curiosity and spent a whole hour. Great way to top my visit!

I really loved this little museum - only wish I had more time to pend here. They ask for a 95 cent admittance fee. Funny how many people think this is actually a store and not a museum - not sign readers, I guess. The docent was really nice and had a lot of information to share. There is more... More

OMG! What a great unique experience! American Pickers, Mike & Frank, would be so jealous!!! My husband and I had so many wonderful memory boosters from our childhood, remembering things our parents and grandparents used in their homes! The medicinal products, the kitchen gadgets and food items, the original signage and advertising!! So great!! Mr. Ruddy, thank you so much... More
