Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We didn’t know about this monument honouring famous brothers, so it was great to happen upon it close to the beautiful City Hall.
Most impressive in its portrayal of Jackie and Mack, the former a renowned basketball player. Mack, the elder of the pair, broke barriers when he won silver in athletics at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Beautiful sculptures of two great American icons located in a small green space across the street from Pasadena's most popular building, the Pasadena City Hall.

The Robinson Memorial is a tribute to Brothers Mack and Jackie Robinson, who both grew up in Pasadena and became legends that inspire still today. Mack Robinson was a star athlete at the University of Oregon and held many records. He was also a member of the US Olympic Team in the 1936 Berlin Olympics and finished second to Jesse Owens. Brother Jackie was an athletic star at UCLA and went on to become the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers and had to endure and suffer much resistance and bigotry, however, he opened the doors for having a more open environment for all races in all major sports leagues. Mack went on to be a civic leader in the community and Jackie was a major influence in the civil rights movement. The Memorial depicts the heads of these two gentlemen in a bigger than life manner. It is located southwest of Pasadena City Hall.

Just across the street from the City Hall. Do check it out if you are there - it costs nothing (unless you are in a paid parking spot). There is a little plaque, but it's a very quick read. Fantastic athletes Jackie Robinson and his brother, Mack who was somewhat overshadowed by his brother's fame.

These 9 ft high bronze sculptures of the heads of Jackie and Mack Robinson, campaigners for civil justice, are real landmarks as they look towards the magnificent Pasadena City Hall... Certainly worth a look.

This is right across from City Hall, great location and interesting art. It was a good stop while in town, pretty moving as well especially if you know the Robinson history.

Located just across from the City Hall building is the Robinson Memorial. We discovered this as we were walking around the historical areas of Pasadena. It’s a great story of the two brothers who grew up in Pasadena and the impact they made. Definitely make the time to stop and see this memorial while you are visiting the City Hall building.

We saw the memorial as we were doing our own version of a historic walking tour of Pasadena. It was great to read about the Robinson brothers and their achievements.
