Rio Seco is one of Paso Robles' earliest bonded wineries, and in my opinion is shows in the character and charm of the Hinkle family and of the winery itself. The property boasts beautiful views of Paso's sunny east side where you can sit on the deck and enjoy a glass of delicious Rio Seco wine. The Hinkle family treat... More

We were referred to this winery by another vineyard, and it was a great suggestion. It is one of the oldest in the area, and we were served by the owner who was delightful. Their reds were excellent, the history shared very interesting and the owner was friendly, welcoming and thoroughly enjoyable. This is a smaller, family owned and run... More

We stayed from Dec. 22-Dec. 27, 2016. We had a wonderful time! The weather was cold and rained one day which made it very festive. We stayed in one of the guest houses, very cozy and comfortable. You can relax with a glass of wine at the fire pit and gaze over the awesome view! You can even cook in... More

We had the great joy of celebrating a family wedding at Rio Seco Winery. It was just perfect! From the beautiful winery/vineyard/cottages to the gracious owners, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Excellent selection of wines for tasting (all delicious) Zinfandel's especially! On Friday night, they have a live band and GREAT BBQ in their patio area....so much fun.... More

Such a lovely place to enjoy nice reds wines. We loved the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Carol and staff were so nice and loved the history of the place, they were all so welcoming! I definitely recommend staying in the guest house. Behind guest house they have a fire pit and BBQ to enjoy after a day of wine... More

We live within a 3 hour drive of Paso Robles, but never stopped here. This winery offers guest house stays, which are totally comfortable, off the beaten track, and offer a chance to bond with the winery cat. The owner is so friendly, and accommodations homey. I recommend exploring this area. See other recommendations of wineries to visit

Go here to have a nice chat and try some great (mostly red) wines. I travel alone so it is a huge bonus to me to find a place where the proprietors are friendly and informative. Very "family" place, even Monty the dog is part of the meet & greet!

There are 250 wineries in Paso Robles and our favorite tasting experience was the Rio Seco Winery . We also stayed in their hacienda which is availed if you buy enough wine. It is a very special place to stay and enjoy the view.

My wife, infant daughter and I stayed the weekend in the Rio Seco guest and were extremely happy. We have visited this small, family owned winery four years in a row and recently stayed in the comfortable guest house. If you are looking for a small family owned winery with pleasant wines and pricing, look no further. Such great people... More

We have been coming to wine country for many years. The wines are very enjoyable. I like the whites and my husband loves their red wines. They always have special deals going on their wines. It is a small family winery with a great atmosphere, the grounds are beautiful and the wine pets very friendly. They also have a guest... More
