Enjoy ALL Red wines! Specializing in small case production of the following varietals: Cabernet, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese, Barbera and blends! Family owned and operated, vineyard is on the outskirts of town and tasting room has been in downtown location for 6+ years! Centrally located with 10+ tasting room, fabulous restaurants and great shopping.

I can't think of a better way to spend a rainy, late-December afternoon than at a tasting at the Pianetta Winery. We enjoyed all of the wines in the tasting flight and left with a bottle of the Petite Sirah. Would definitely return if our travels bring us back to Paso Robles.

She was very friendly and pleasant not intrusive at all. We shared a tasting and found one we liked enough to purchase. They had a really cute bottle called "jug o wine" or something like that and we got that for a friend.

Laura was very knowledgeable and engaging. Had a very nice time during our visit to the tasting room and learned a lot about the history and wine operations in the area. Would have rated 5-star but the wines were not my favorite. Still, very much worth a taste!

They are red only. However, all of their wines are excellent! Spend some time tasting their current releases. If you get a chance to taste any of their library wines----WOW! The owner/winemaker lives for his wines. Do yourself a favor; give them a try! Theirs is the only wine club to which we belong. We have cancelled the others. Thank you Pianetta.

Stopped by Pianetta's tasting room on 13th street in Paso Robles on a whim. I was very pleased by a great staff and excellent wines. Their Sangiovese was excellent, Super-Tuscan style blends very nice, Syrah and Petit Sirah as well. Along with their knowledgable staff a excellent experience. Particularly nice for folks staying in downtown Paso since they are in easy walking distance from the park and downtown restaurants. A nice change if you have been doing the wineries further out in Paso!

I collected wine for 20 years, and worked in the wine business for five years. Pianetta has had consistently excellent wines every time I have visited.

The friendly and knowledgeable staff makes this stop in old town Paso Robles a real treat. Besides serious and hearty Italian-style red wines, Pianetta Winery plays with packaging such as their Jug Wine and innovations like Low Maintenace Rose that is aged in amphora. Tastings can include a cheese plate and you might find yourself tapping your toes to the tunes on juke box.

Whether their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, their superb Petite Syrah or their delightful Zinfandel, the list of quality red varietals poured in their tasting room seems endless!
The winemaker, John Pianetta makes his wines the old fashioned way; through painstaking hard work! No corners are cut.
Ask for Caitlin, John’s daughter, and she will tell their story while pouring vintage fine wine!

A bit of a disappointment when it comes to my expectation of wines. I found them a little more acidic then I would have liked to see them but still not the worst I've had before.
Aside from that the winery has pretty decent selection and wines their Petite Sirah is nicely balanced but a little on the acidic side for my taste. The hours and location in the middle of Paso Robles also don't hurt, so the tasting room management seems to be very well done.

We escaped the 100 degree heat and made a pit stop at Pianetta before checking into our hotel. Sam was so gracious to assist us with our tasting and made our experience 10x better. We were encouraged to try the jug wine by others and I liked the unique packaging. When tasting the pink jug wine side by side with the Rose', we preferred the Rose'. Quaint feel inside the tasting room with very friendly people.
