Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While staying at Pebble Beach we drove the 17 Mile Drive quite a bit.
One of the spots we stopped for a good look was at Cypress Point.
It was very busy there, hard to get a carpark but we eventually got a spot.
Lovely view there off the rocks and coastline.
It was good to read some information boards there about the point and about the Cypress Trees
Interesting that at one time they were quite rare.
Also interesting was the weather there, it was a hot day but at that Point there was quite a cool breeze blowing across, very nice it was .

Cypress Point Lookout is very scenic with some great views of the Pacific Ocean. Certainly worth stopping over, when it’s area.

This is a spectacular viewing point of the famous Lone Cypress.
Make sure to be careful, as the place is located on the road and cars not always slow down there.

Cypress Point Lookout is the 10th spot in 17 mile Drive. This is the best place to look sunset and one can have a nice view on Southwest direction.

It’s very disappointing that they have a very scenic view and in the way is a large chain link fence. What a waste. I’m not sure why they couldn’t put up a small wood fence that would be more aesthetically pleasing.
Down on the beach we’re a group of harbor seals just doing their thing.

Although we did not on this trip, often we see seals at Cypress Point Lookout. This is a scenic Pacific Ocean view of Cypress trees and the ocean allong the famous 17 Mile Drive in Pebble Beach.

If I’m not mistaken, the area was closed because of the seal habitation for baby seals during my last visit several years ago. It’s great it’s open and you can see a lot of seals either taking the sunbath lying on rocks, swimming, diving, and playing. You can also hear their conversations every now and then. Don’t miss this great spot if it’s open.
