We possibly stopped by at the wrong time of day, but pulled up and parked roadside, then crossed traffic to get to a grove of trees with a few monarchs fluttering about. They were good to see, and some of them were prone to landing...More

The population is low due to infringed upon habitat and other circumstances. Though it is an amazing sight, it is that much more astounding if you take the time to learn the story of this survivor butterfly. The volunteers are very sweet, knowledgeable, and passionate....More

Wonderful and FREE place to enjoy nature. They do have talks during the day. Easy parking just on the road. Nice walk to the beach once you're finished.

It is a marvel to see between October and March. If you have a 10 - 20 minutes to see the butterfly migration, I would recommend it.
