I am not quite sure why we like this winery as much as we did. There really wasn't any one thing that stood out. good wine but nothing exceptional, nice but pretty standard tasting room. Nice staff but not exceptionally so. But taken all together it manages to be greater than it's parts. We really enjoyed ourr stop here and... More

The tasting room is a nice size. The pours are adequate too. My main reason for going to this winery was they have two very good sweet or late summer wines. They are a must to have!!! Also, the scenery of the vineyards is nice.

Had s great time while wine tasting here. Great lineup of wine, especially Sangiovese selection which they are known for. Super service from Tamara. Good time, and we bought several bottles.

I first became acquainted with the owners in the 1980's. Jim and Suzie. When you go into their tasting room and they've seen you before you are almost family! They have the neatest workers there too. I had a tasting room in Plymouth and would not be able to keep the Sangiovese on the shelf! I'm telling you, it's the... More

We have been wine club members here for many years. They specialize in Sangiovese but also do Zinfandel and Barbera. On our most recent visit were served by the friendly and knowledgeable owners. Fabulous wine at a fair price.

Our group had a tasting and really enjoyed the experience. The entire staff made us feel at home and had a nice tasting with some foods to bring out the best in their wines. They were very attentive. There is a very nice gift shop for wine and items to take home.

Just some of the best in Amador County with an incredible staff and top notch vintner who loves his grapes and the wine they make. Also known for their Grappa -- grape based brandy not for the feint of heart. Put it on your tour list.

Several years ago, my wife and I had the chance to live in Italy for an extended period of time. During our time in the Emilia-Romagna area (Bologna, Parma, Modena, etc.) we greatly enjoyed the locally produced 100% Sangiovese wines. They were delightful to drink on their own, paired well with food, and were a great value, with outstanding examples... More
