Olympics? This is where you start.
Mar 2020
This shotgun only clay target shooting range has been offering some terrific events for the very advanced to the shy beginner. Some of their very fun entry level matches start with The CRUSHER match where targets are thrown that explode in a ball of bright colored dust. You earn tickets that are used for a drawing for Flat screen TVs, equipment of all types, etc. This range offers trap, double trap, skeet, International skeet, International Trap, and a very fun Sporting Clays course for beginners and grizzled veterans alike. You are very likely to see future Olympians, and veteran Olympians such as six time Olympian and gold medalist Kim Rhode training there. Women are highly welcome here. Instruction is good for beginners and highly recommended. Nice club house, good restroom facilities, snacks, coffee, and drinks are offered. The facility is also open at night. Check the website for hours. You will have a terrific time at this facility.

I would recommend going else where!

Our family and friends will not be doing business here. Staff always has a bad attitude. It is like you bother them with business. Don’t interrupt their personal talk time or you will get bad service. If you’re lucky maybe they will be nice to you and offer you services they don’t offer other customers like switching out your ammo for their approved ammo at no charge. If you’re not that lucky be prepared to pay extra for low grade ammo. Caution as they might send you on a wild goose chase with false information to a place that doesn’t sell the correct ammo for them as well. Get ready to kiss their butts if you want to have a good experience here. By the way you do all the work too, like pick up shells, Scan the card for clays, and do the pulling. Only thing you don’t do is load the thrower, If you want a reasonable and enjoyable skeet experience I would recommend Prado shooting park in Chino.

Way better than any video game. You will love breaking clays.

I happened upon these reviews this morning, and would like to comment and add a few things to update a review a few years ago. Firstly, I managed a public rifle, pistol, and trap range for eleven years, and have been involved in the training of hundreds of Police officers and other Law Enforcement officers, as well as literally thousands of shooters and hunters in DCM and State Fish & Game Department Hunter Safety Programs. In addition, I have a fair competitive background having been involved in the 1984 Olympic Game trials, World, National, and State Championships, with National records, etc., and have a coaches certification from the Olympic Training Center.
The Redlands Shooting Park has a very specific design and purpose it serves very well. It provides a venue for the competitive clay target shooting community and is a designated Olympic Training site. It welcomes shooters of all levels and abilities from the beginner types through Olympic medalists of extraordinary abilities. Instruction is available, and there are many small groups to join in with. If you like the casual social part of enjoyment of shooting without competitive pressure, this is a nice place to chat with experienced shooters. If you want the hard core edge of competition, formal matches are continually offered here with matches for those beginning to those leading to International levels with several different clay target types of events. An example of a terrific event for an awesome group of people is the San Diego area Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) trap shooting event at the end of this month. What a great sport for these fine folks to be involved with! But to be clear, everything done here centers around a tournament format with clear, safety and range protocols. This is absolutely necessary to fit within rules imposed on the staff and management by area agencies. There can be no compromise. It is an awesome place for families and for social groups. I have been coming here since I was a kid in the 1960's when it was a Winchester facility and will continue to come.
On a lucky day you may get to meet some Olympic medalists training on skeet or bunker trap. Good sporting clays course. Could use a little sprucing up, but is getting there. Lots of families come in. Quality place and service. Rental gear available. You wil have fun.

Give them a shot....you'll love the place.

Me and my buddies go to the Redlands Shooting Park to get in a few rounds of trap when we can. We love the place and highly recommend going if you own a shotgun and want to get in a little shooting time without going out of Redlands. Staff is great and very helpful. Give it a shot...you'll like it.

Fun for Beginners and Challenging for Olympic hopefuls
Jul 2015 • Friends
I have been a frequent visitor for many years. The staff is always helpful. The other experienced shooters are very friendly and love to chat you up. This is a quality facility and a good place to take beginners. Many women shoot here. Do not be afraid to ask for some training. They also have an Olympic designated training site for International "bunker trap". Very challenging. On a lucky day you may get to meet some Olympic medalists training on skeet or bunker trap. Good sporting clays course. Could use a little sprucing up, but is getting there. Lots of families come in. Quality place and service. Rental gear available.

Shotguns only
May 2015 • Family
I’d never been trap shooting before, so I can’t compare this with other places. We had a great time. We bought their beginner’s packet, which includes shotguns, shells, trap, eye & hearing protection for each person. They even had ear muffs for the baby. An employee reviewed gun safety with us, and then set us up on the field. There’s a patio for family members not shooting and an area to BBQ and drink beer after you finish. We were there on a Friday night, and there were only a couple other groups shooting, which gave us a lot of privacy. We didn’t feel rushed or crowded.

The staff mentioned to us that we could save money by buying our shells at WalMart. You can also bring your own shotguns and safety equipment. Then you’re just paying for the targets.

Mountain backdrop skeet!
Feb 2015 • Couples
So excited to finally have found a shooting park near the Desert. Redlands is exactly a one hour door to door easy drive and it's a wonderful facility. We went during the week and even though they had several trap fields reserved we were able to shoot skeet on one of the several open fields. It felt like our own private field! The skeet fields have the pull controls on a long extension cord which you carry with you from station to station and my husband and I just pulled for each other. The skeet mechanical equiment worked exceedingly well-we shot 10 rounds each (over 2 days) and I think we had only 1 broken bird from one of the houses. My husband had a few double breaks with one shot so we were fairly confident that the calibration was right on. Melisa and Allison run the front desk and they are very friendly! Pay attention to the ammo restrictions they have for shot size and velocity-but they referred us to Ammo Brothers about 20 miles away and we were able to purchase just what we needed. The scenery was a beautiful backdrop for trap and skeet (this is NOT a pistol range, thank goodness). On our second day of shooting we noticed how well they cleaned the fields from the prior day-we had no problems with footing at all. Do keep in mind that they take an ID in exchange for the blue card which is loaded with your payment for the rounds.....we inadvertently left the second day without getting our driver's license back, but they were very kind in mailing it back to us. The only complaint is that the restrooms are very dated and some updating to them and some of the seating areas is needed. Overall a great facility and we will be back frequently.

Excellent field to shoot
If you're a trap shooter, this field has great targets with an exceptional background. The gray shot screens make the targets POP right out. They set the targets correctly. There isn't a lot of attractions right around the field, but I go to shoot trap, not lounge around.
