Riverside had a lovely little museum... it was a little frayed around the edges and a little eccentric, but had interesting exhibits and terrific, engaged staff and programs for kids. And some of the Cahuilla baskets on display were awesome, well worth a trip as...More

Beautiful architecture building, old post office. However, this museum is now closed for 3 years for a much needed upgrade and cataloguing of all their treasures. There may be occasional saturdays the museum may be open with volunteer docents, I would call ahead and check....More

Stumbled upon this museum as I walked to the Mission Inn and couldn't believe there's no admission fee. It has a lot of displays about So Cal Indian history, and a lot about plants and animals of the area.

This museum has no admission price but has a suggested $3/person suggested donation. We enjoyed the exhibits and especially the intricate baskets that were displayed.

Downstairs features a display on notable former residents, touches briefly on the very important citrus business (Riverside was once the...More

Going through this museum I got the impression that this museum is not very sure of its purpose. What's it there for? There seemed to be a certain randomness to its various displays. Some were closely tied to illustrating the history, natural history and culture...More

This is a great museum to visit during the first Thursday Art Walk. There is usually music and a wonderful new exhibit to see. There is a wall of history of the museum and some old bathrooms. There are two levels of rooms full of...More
