Going through this museum I got the impression that this museum is not very sure of its purpose. What's it there for? There seemed to be a certain randomness to its various displays. Some were closely tied to illustrating the history, natural history and culture of Riverside. Others were considerably less so. It needs more focus and stronger and more... More

This is a great museum to visit during the first Thursday Art Walk. There is usually music and a wonderful new exhibit to see. There is a wall of history of the museum and some old bathrooms. There are two levels of rooms full of different types of art that change frequently.

Not very large but sweet and full of information. Ask questions because they change the display often. Free or maybe $2. Worth a visit. The first time in was all geo rocks and things, next time was animals and the last time was people from the past in that county. Ever changing!

The museum has the bare minimum for a museum. The exhibits that were there were well done but it seemed like it lacked more interactive exhibits for kids.

This was a perfect Sunday family outing. Even though this is a smaller museum, it has so much to see. The display cases are presented with facts and detail. Most of the exhibit was native American Indian baskets and wares. We discovered a second floor which held a wonderful photography exhibit of Riverside in the early days. This was so... More

This museum is located in Riverside's Mission Inn District. The three main exhibits are Natural History, Anthropology, and History. There are several ancients relics and interesting exhibits on display.

My hubby and I where walking around down town Riverside, killing time, and we came across this little place. There was a lot to see/read inside, both my hubby and I enjoyed our time. They had special activities to help the exhibits more child friendly, and help hold their interest. If you have a few minuets or couple hours, you... More

Not very big and you can go through in a couple of hours. Very interesting artifacts from the riverside area. The art museum and mission in are on the same block so it is very easy to include it on your visit.
