Very interesting venue for exploring and relaxing. Nice to see how the other half once lived! Could easily spend several hours here. Nice to see picnic tables being provided as well as an on site cafe. Didn't go on steam train but it looked like fun.

Very good park excellent scenery and setting. No kids menu in the restaurant is disappointing. Kids play area could be bigger. More picnic benches spread out would be ideal. All in all a good day out but with a few small tweaks it can be excellent.

First time to Oakfield Park and we most certainly will return. Our two young children loved the train ride as did we.Our children got free admission and train ride as they were under 3 which was a bonus. The grounds of the park are beautiful and extremely well kept. Even the toilets are really nice (not something I look forward... More

An outstanding place of beauty and tranquility with the added bonus of a fantastic train ride. You would think you are in some other part of the world. Can't believe we have such a beautiful gem in Donegal. It's a credit to the owners to provide such a place and his vision and love of the place is palatial.

Oakfield Park is a gem, beautiful park and formal gardens and great facilities for fine or foul weather. We had a full day and still didn't get around it all. The new 'Buffers' provides great food and facilities and the train is a delight taking you on a journey around the park to admire the flora, fauna, sculptures and views. Quite... More

We had a very special day - loved the walks and admired the gardens; had a fun ride around the lake on the train and then enjoyed tea and cake in the new cafe. The sun shone too. Well worth the journey and will certainly be back.

Oakfield brought out the child in the parents and the teenagers. Being brought to Santas castle on a steam train around the lake was wonderful. The photo with Santa is excellent and the gifts were great value. This was followed by a good meal in Buffers restaurant with a nice wine. Cannot fold the quality of the experience and we... More

I have been to oak field park many times and normally love the experience. Previous visits to the park have been brilliant (fairys and teddy bear picnic ) but this was one of the worst and most disappointing things Ive ever been too. We went to see Santa on a very busy but mild night. We were greeted by 2... More
