The Inglenook legacy began in 1879 when Gustave Niebaum, a Finnish sea captain, wine connoisseur and entrepreneur, came to Rutherford to build a wine estate that would rival Europe's finest. When Niebaum's grandnephew, John Daniel, Jr. inherited the chateau and vineyards in the 1930s, Inglenook had already earned international acclaim. Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased the property in 1975 and have spent forty years reuniting the original vineyards, returning winemaking operations to the chateau, and restoring Inglenook's illustrious heritage with the help of renowned wine consultant Stephane Derenoncourt and Managing Director and Winemaker Philippe Bascaules. In honor of this estate and its historical significance, we have restored the name, Inglenook.

We visited here on our last day in Napa and were greatly disappointed. While the grounds, vineyards and building are amazing, the wines are not. Maybe it was that this was our second stop on our fourth day of tasting, or that our host seemed to hate his job, but we were sorely disappointed. We dumped most of our tastings... More

Another great visit. Love the gated format. Wines we tasted were excellent. David was our wine educator, he was super. The tour and cave tastings are well worth it.

Owned these days by Francis Ford Coppola, the Inglenook winery has an interesting history. We enjoyed the heritage tasting which is served in a nice chateu-style hall. Everyone has their private tables and the employees tend to you personally. There is also a lovely bistro/cafe on premises which sells cheese/salami/baguettes and such. They seem to sell them at pretty close... More

We had a great experience here! After looking at different reviews this came up as a must so we took the time for a tour and wine pairing/tasting in the caves. Our guide/somm Kenton was excellent. Very knowledgeable of wine and especially of the history specific to Inglenook and Napa. The building is beautiful and worth seeing if you like... More

From start to finish, this was the highlight of our day in Napa. First impression was a very good one as we walked up to the impressive and beautiful Chateau. Inside, we were greeted by a lovely and cordial concierge, Dominique. We started our tour with a delicious propriety white made from Viognier, Roussane, and Marsanne. Our tour guide was... More

We were very impressed by the Concierge Dominique at the visitor center. She was very courteous and helped us to join a tour, although we did not have prior reservations. The tour was so rewarding and educational. The Inglenook Estate is definitely a place to put on your map when traveling through Napa Valley. Great experience indeed. 5 ***** in... More

Wonderful tasting here. The 2013 Rubicon is amazing (100% Cabernet, which is rare). It's only surpassed by the 2007 Rubicon, which was a treat for the palate. Favorite wine so far! Sebastian, from Argentina, was a delight and very helpful and fun. Ask for him.
