The park has many, many types of flowers and trees. It is interesting walking through and discovering. The Firemen’s Memorial and war memorials are very well created. Nice time just just walking through or sitting n a bench

Lots of shady trees and photo spots outside the Capitol. Stopped by later in the day, which allowed quick entry into the Capitol through security. Beautiful building inside and out. Tags were used to types of trees on the grounds.

Lucky to see both houses in session. Time your trip around a voting session sand see the state elected workers try to change the course of our state.

Visited this park in June, which meant that the rose garden was in full bloom. A sight to see, an array of assorted colours. Seating areas and a pretty arch. I noticed a number of orange trees. Lawned areas, and other colourful plants around. Also...More

The Capitol Park is free to walk around and enjoy all the different types of trees, and most of them are labeled. We enjoyed a pleasant sunny day before our tour of the Capitol building.

Another option is to take advantage of the "valet parking" at the restaurants across fro the park for $5 to $6 Then tip for $5 bucks and park longer time for less cost....
