We went to see the Greystone building and hopefully buy some chocolate from the Ghirardelli at the Ghirardilli Discovery Center. The cafe was closed for "winter hours" which were actual days not just hours, Many visitors disappointed while we were exploring. The Vintners Hall of Fame was inspiring but a little cold--wear a sweater.

We have always enjoyed going to the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. We like the wine stopper collection, the school, the restaurant, the historic grounds but now, they have a new location also at Culinary Institute of America at COPIA in the town of Napa (close to Oxbow Market) As such, 1) Their class offerings for December were usually... I stopped in to check out the CIA while visiting the Napa Valley. I received a warm welcome on a chilly, rainy Saturday. I made a lunch reservation for the one restaurant on campus. I arrived early, so I took some time to look at the fascinating collection of corkscrews. I've never seen so many different types! I also browsed... More

We stumbled across the CIA when wine tasting in the area. The food and service were outstanding, and the prices unparalleled for the quality. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for a delicious meal while vineyard hopping. We had lunch pretty early, when leaving around 1 it was getting busy - so go early to avoid crowds! We were traveling... More

We found this beautiful place by accident for a late lunch. There are beautiful grounds and scenery. We went through the fancy gift shop, through the wine tasting centre to order sandwiches. Butter lettuce salad was delicious, very fresh. The sandwiches were delicious on multigrain buns. There were pumps for still or sparkling water. We bought artisan chocolates to sample... More

Inside the main entrance on the left is the marketplace. There's a reasonably priced culinary store. Half the price of William sonoma. There's also a small Cafe with limited menu. You can also see where students take cooking classes and attend lectures.

We came by at about 1:30 in the afternoon, and the restaurant was closing at 2. We decided just to check out the cafe inside the store. We loved it!! It's where the students mill, the food was wonderful, and the setting very pleasant. We shared a soup, salad, and an open face sandwich between the two of us, and... More

By happenstance my wife and I luckily were able to have lunch at the CIA when someone cancelled their reservation. The food was fantastic, the Pearl sparkling wine flight was awesome, and the service extraordinary. In fact, everything was so nice we traveled out of our way the next day just to go back again. Oh, by the way, their... More

We opted to try CIA for lunch one day as my friend is a real foodie and she couldn't resist the opportunity to check it out! Upon arrival, you can't help but be in awe of the building - it is magnificent and historical! We arrived a bit early so had some time to wander around the grounds and found... More
