HALL Wines is a family-owned, critically acclaimed premier Napa Valley...

HALL Wines is a family-owned, critically acclaimed premier Napa Valley vineyard and winery with five estate vineyards of classic Bordeaux varietals. As a specialist in Cabernet Sauvignon, each vintage the winemaking staff crafts 15 distinct Cabernet blends which demonstrate the unique characteristics and diversity of the Napa Valley. Their highly rated wines have included the 2008 'Kathryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon selected as Wine Spectator's #2 wine in the world in 2011, the 2010 'Exzellenz' which received 100 points from Robert Parker in 2013, and the 2006 'Exzellenz' selected as Wine Enthusiast's #1 wine in the world in 2009. HALL's Napa Valley estate vineyards are Certified Organic and employ cutting-edge vineyard technology to yield the highest quality grapes. In addition, the HALL St. Helena winemaking facility was the first LEED(R) Gold Certified Winery in the State of California, making HALL Wines a pioneer in the use of green buildings in the wine industry. The site maintains one acre of solar panels on its roof and uses 100% recycled water throughout its processes. Each of HALL's spectacular winemaking facilities, HALL St. Helena and HALL Rutherford, showcases installations from the Hall family's extensive modern art collection.

Stopped here for a wine tasting. Luckily we had a coupon 2 for 1. $40 each without coupon. Tour is additional. I'm used to NY wineries. Wine was excellent and a generous pour. Drink in or out on the patio. It would be nice to have crackers or water available between selections. Unique artwork on display Our "barista" was excellent... More

One of the most amazing wineries. Beautiful art and wine. Ask for Karen to tour you. She's extremely knowledgeable, funny and nice. One of the best wine educators of any winery we visited.

So glad I went by the recommendation of our hotel (also owned by Hall, something I didn't realize at the time) and visited here. Chris, our host, was great. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. What a fun and educational tours. The wine was amazing and speaks for itself. So glad we picked up some Katherine Hall, since it's now... More

I'm not in the habit of reviewing every winery I visit, but I felt this one deserved a special mention. The owners of the winery are not only into their winemaking, but modern art and you see this throughout the property. You can't miss the giant "Bunny Foo Foo" at the entrance on St. Helena Highway, a stainless steel rabbit,... More

The owners must be unbelievably wealthy, because this winery is over the top, especially if you like modern art. The wines are fantastic. But the experience was not quite as personal as we have had at other smaller wineries. Life is full of little trade-offs.

I love Hall Cab. So it was on my "must see" list. They sell out way in advance and we had to find some major connections to secure a tour with about a weeks notice so I was so happy. They have beautiful grounds and a huge Rabbit sculpture as you pull up the drive (that I understand they dress... More

An ultramodern winery with (mostly) Beautiful modern artwork. Thus, if you like a traditional winery, traditional decor, this is NOT at all the tour for you! True, there are a few old things preserved, such as one old building, but that aside, Hall is unusually modern, i.e., glass, steel, no wood, no warmth. The video on winemaking is nice, the... More

If you know (or in my case are related to) a member go with them! All the pourings are free. Their wine is just incredible!! The property outdoors is breathtaking! I think I could have taken a nap in one of the Adirondack chairs while sipping a glass of wine. If you want a great lunch check out the place... More

We enjoyed the outdoor gardens and art at this winery. Although we didn't take a tour we didn't feel like one was necessary. There is a small charge for tasting and you stand around this very spacious bar area as they serve up the various wines they produce. You can spend 30 minutes or more depending on how much time...
