HALL Wines is a family-owned, critically acclaimed premier Napa Valley...

HALL Wines is a family-owned, critically acclaimed premier Napa Valley vineyard and winery with five estate vineyards of classic Bordeaux varietals. As a specialist in Cabernet Sauvignon, each vintage the winemaking staff crafts 15 distinct Cabernet blends which demonstrate the unique characteristics and diversity of the Napa Valley. Their highly rated wines have included the 2008 'Kathryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon selected as Wine Spectator's #2 wine in the world in 2011, the 2010 'Exzellenz' which received 100 points from Robert Parker in 2013, and the 2006 'Exzellenz' selected as Wine Enthusiast's #1 wine in the world in 2009. HALL's Napa Valley estate vineyards are Certified Organic and employ cutting-edge vineyard technology to yield the highest quality grapes. In addition, the HALL St. Helena winemaking facility was the first LEED(R) Gold Certified Winery in the State of California, making HALL Wines a pioneer in the use of green buildings in the wine industry. The site maintains one acre of solar panels on its roof and uses 100% recycled water throughout its processes. Each of HALL's spectacular winemaking facilities, HALL St. Helena and HALL Rutherford, showcases installations from the Hall family's extensive modern art collection.

HALL is a fabulous intersection of wonderful art, wine, architecture, history, and scenery. Wines are delicious, beautiful views from the valley floor, one of a kind art pieces at every turn (make sure you stop in the bathrooms), and plenty of lovely common areas for people to relax and enjoy themselves make this winery really stand out. We had a... More

One of my favorite stops in all of Napa Valley -- incredible state-of-the-art facility with amazing views. Staff is very attentive and thoughtful while giving you the appropriate amount of space to enjoy your tasting. Highly recommend this spot. We will be back!

This winery is modern with unique pieces of art. Beautiful outdoor patio where you can sit comfortably and enjoy the gorgeous views. Spacious tasting room with knowledgeable and unpretentious service. The cabernets are spectacular - especially the Ellie and 1873. Definitely worth a visit if you are tasting in Napa.

The garden and art installation make this very unique... the wine was superb. Building is a work of art in itself.

If you're after a super commercial experience with robotic staff that simply go through the motions this is the place for you... wines were ok, but nothing outstanding compared to the other "big wineries" of the region. Maybe it was just personnel but I'd rate other places in Napa region much higher.

I like Hall wines, or at least I did. I really dislike snooty attitudes. My husband and I arrived midday on a sunny winter Tuesday. The parking lot had few vehicles - and those were mostly service vehicles. There were a number of tables, none occupied, in various sunny locations. We had sandwiches from Sunshine Market St Helena (recommended.). In... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to relay your experience at Hall St. Helena. Picnicking is a benefit for club members at the property, as we unfortunately are not permitted to allow picnicking to the public. It sounds like the manner in which this was communicated was inhospitable, and this will certainly be addressed with our Guest Relations... More

$40 for a wine tasting of 4 wine! So ridiculously expensive! Not worth it at all. It was the most expensive of all the wineries we went to that day. Just take a cute pic with bunny foo foo and then leave.

I'm still a bit baffled at my experience yesterday. I called Hall last week and the woman emphasized how they are open late, that they close at 530 but you can show up at 525 and still taste til 600, so I made it my last tasting room of the day yesterday. Yes it wasn't my first winery of the... More

Kevin, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience at Hall St. Helena. The MOD and Wine Educator that assisted you that day did inform me of the visit, and suggested you may be writing a negative review. I am sorry you were disappointed, but do feel that my staff handled the situation appropriately. The team... More

As others wrote, the facility is beautiful. Unfortunately the staff was incredibly unpleasant - and were put off that we asked questions about the wine - inappropriate things like how long is it aged, do you use French or American oak, etc. If you are serious about tasting and a quality wine experience, there are many other wonderful places in...
