About
Tres Sabores ("three tastes") was founded in 1999 by winemaker and owner, Julie Johnson, to explore the 'three savory flavors' in every glass of wine: the taste of the vine, the terroir, and the good company around the table. The property is filled with growing history as olives and vines were planted here over a century ago. Today, the farm is a certified organic (CCOF) grower of Cabernet, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Petit Verdot, pomegranates, Meyer lemons, and Olives. We also raise Guinea fowl and sheep who serve not only as lawn mowers and the mobile fertilization team for the ranch but also 'go to market' and are served in some of the finest farm to table restaurants in the Bay Area.

Highly recommend / Loved it!

Julie and crew were awesome - they agreed to open early just to accommodate our schedule. 100% certified organic wines, great outdoor area for tastings and bites. Loved the Rose and Red blend. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a different wine tasting experience!

We had a great time tasting! We brought lunch in and enjoyed their wines with our lunch ! Becky and Mary Elizabeth were very knowledgeable about the winery and the wines!
We enjoyed the Zinfandel and the Cabernet Sauvignon.
The dogs were friendly and entertained us during the tasting !

AWESOME EXPERIENCE
Feb 2020
This was our favorite stop so far. What an amazing place. Loved being greeted by the friendly dogs and then getting a great tour of this sustainable winery / farm. Everyone was extremely friendly and gave us great information about the property, the area, and the wine. I would say that the quality of the wine was just as good if not better than most of the more expensive wines we tasted at other places. This certainly goes on my must visit list for anyone headed to the area and looking for wineries to go to.

This is what Napa SHOULD be like. Wonderful wines, beautiful location, gracious hosts. And a special appearance by Reginald the red-tailed hawk!

Warm welcome from owner , great for dogs, family and wines
Dec 2019
I did extensive research on the yelp & tripadvisor and finally decided on Tres Sabores due to their dog friendly environment during wine tasting and its organic winery origin. I spoke with their managers and indicated our party of 5 , only 3 can drink or of drinking age. Their manager said they only charge for 3 tasting and the other 2 can just enjoy the tour of the winery.

By pure luck, my winery tour was right after the Christmas break and it was hosted by Jon and his wife Julie Johnson. Jon warmly welcome my family of 5 and my dog to meet his golden retriever's Cava. During the tour, Jon explained how their chickens and sheep compost as fertilizers. Jon also gave a extensive history of their winery and showed us the vineyards. Julie is the owner and wine marker for Tres Sabores and she was great in explaining the different wines to me and origin of the grapes they used. The tour lasted 1.5 hours and we had a wonderful time in the outdoor area tasting the cheese and pastries Jon and Julie gave us to pair with the wines. My favorite wine was the Petite Sirah and PorQue no and I ended up purchased 9 bottles back to my NY home ( 2 carry on, 7 shipped).

Final tips, Caymus winery is about 10 mins drive from Tres Sabores and I was able to compare the more commercialize winery vs the warm and dog friendly organic winery that is owned by Julie & Jon at Tres Sabores.

Outdoor wine tasting and tour of cave with salami & cheese plate provided. Dog friendly. Julie Johnson, the winemaker is dedicated to organic farming practices. We liked the Por Que No Blend.

Wine Tasting
Sep 2019
This was a wonderful experience. I would consider this a boutique winery. We had a great tour by Mary Beth and the Golden retrievers! We had an excellent lunch that was set up for us outside in a picnic grove overlooking the property. This was the only organic winery we visited and was a little off the beaten path, but well worth it! I would highly recommend this winery!

Beautiful and unique winery
Jul 2019 • Couples
We absolutely loved our visit to Tres Sabores. We enjoyed our tour of the farm/vineyards and the wines were wonderful. Everyone was so welcoming, and the property is beautiful. We had some delicious snacks to go with our tasting and we had a hard time narrowing down which wines to buy because we loved so many. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it was lovely to sit outside in the shade right next to the vines. We will definitely visit again!

Wonderful experience!
Mar 2019
My daughter Emily and I visited TEs Sabores today and it did a disappoint! Our host Kathy was interesting and thoroughly pleasant. We also met Julie, the owner, and she could not have been nicer. Needless to say the wines that we tasted were spectacular (I joined their wine club). If you are looking for a unique and enjoyable wine experience look no further,

Cheers!
