No fee and no purchase required. We did not have a reservation as all the came in after us. They poured five different wines, except for two Cabernet Sauvignon. We liked the port or we got a bottle of it. We tasted the $110 bottle of Cab but didn't think it was a good value.

We like their wines OK and were prepared to walk out without buying any and then he pulled out a bottle of a 2002 Reserve Cab for $60 that rocked my world. They don't have much left of that, but we bought a bottle. Their Cab is very good, but not great OTHER than their reserves which are GREAT. This... More

Free tasting. Wine is good. Small and crowded tasting room makes in less warm and friendly than other places.

This winery has been around for a long time. Their Heitz Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the wines judged in the Judgement of Paris in 1976 and put California wines on the map. It is a beautiful, small tasting room where they still give free tastings. Our server was delightful and gave us pours of a few additional... More

We were looking for 1 more winery to try before we went back to our hotel (Embassy-Napa). Heitz accomodated us and it was a great experience. Best of all it was Free.

I'm a big fan of Heitz cellars. Their staff that pour are very knowledgeable and friendly. I tasted at least 3 library Cabs and it was a treat. I had to buy a bottle of the Port which I never drink. But the wine tasting experience was classic Napa which I really appreciate. Thanks

We were pleasantly surprised to find a free wine tasting experience. Doubly so when we found some red wines our group liked enough to buy. The person pouring was a bit busy so we really couldn't ask any questions or learn more about the wines but that did not distract from the experience. Comfortable indoor tasting area and wine purchases... More

Nothing too amazing about this winery minus that they do not charge a tasting fee. It was nice and the wines were good but nothing to write home about.

Let me start by saying this place is incredible. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is extremely kind and helpful and the wines are fantastic. We started with the standard tasting selected a few bottles to purchase, then the staff started pulling out some of their library wines for us to try. It was truly a great experience. We... More

Joe was wonderful and enjoyed speaking to him and his knowledge. Nice tasting room and beautiful building and grounds. Nice port and older vintage cabs. Thank you!
