Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place to see motor sports events with the infrastructure to handle big crowds. Once home to national events, local riders use the track usually just once a year. Family friendly good fun!

The Rodeo is over 105 years old and is a must visit in July. It is one of the best rodeos in the United States. We had a great time and the weather is always very mild for California in the summer. The rodeo always draws the best competitors in the United State. There are numerous events and traditions that only happen in Salinas. This is a family event that is entertaining for all ages. Sit in the Granite (South) side of the arena if you are fans of the roping events. The only issue we experienced was dirty bathrooms. Get there early and park for free at the Church on Iris Dr and Lupin Dr. They will watch your car during the rodeo.

Haven’t we all seen these huge monster trucks crushing or flying over other cars when we were young? Thanks to a good friend, we had the opportunity to catch these monster machines in action at Monster Jam Salinas 2016!
Monster Jam is like a mini carnival! Although the show started at 2pm, the grounds at Salinas Sports Complex opened at 12pm. You will be able to grab your food, drinks and monster jam merchandise before the start of the show. Foods include barbecue, skewers, baked potatoes, dipping dots and even churros!
There were 4 main monster truck competitions during Monster Jam Salinas 2016. Race, Wheelie, Donut and Freestyle…

We were here for a large weekend softball tournament which would have been great but there was also football, and a huge Christmas tree lot being prepared. The result was parking for the tournament was some of the worst I have ever experienced. People had to park behind curbs, get caught in lanes where there was no easy exit or drive around the lot for 30 minutes looking for a place to park. The Christmas tree lot being prepared with the trucks, fences and other equipment took up a significant number of parking spaces and should not have been allowed to start until Sunday afternoon after the tournament closed. Very poor planning on the part of the management here.
This could be a great complex for one large activity at a time but there is insufficient parking for the number of activities taking place that weekend making our visit one we do not want to happen again.
The tournament was well done and the softball fields are definitely good if you can park to get there.

We visited the Salinas Sports Complex; this is an amazing facility. First there is the rodeo grounds and corrals area. The rodeo is held in the summer.
There is a very nice baseball stadium - Rabobank Stadium. There are also softball fields.
The aquatic center is very nice as well.
By the rodeo stadium, there is a building with a Wells Fargo stagecoach from 1868.

Impressive to see the size of this place and easy access to get to. Location is everything and signage makes it easy to find.

Went to see Kid Rock perform at Salinas Sports Complex. It was well organized, plenty of wine, beer and mixed drink vendors, as well as some unique food choices. Of course, everything was over priced like most concerts, but we went with the hot dog on a stick choice and it was really good. The crowd was about the best I have ever experienced at a concert. Really enjoyed it!
