Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We love SLO and the charming downtown area. The Farmers Market runs right through the heart of town. But please be warned. The metered parking around the Famers Market and many restaurants in the area is strictly limited. We received parking tickets twice in the last three times we visited ($45 a pop). The last time we were 9 minutes late to the car. And yes, of course, I'm obligated to know when my parking expires. I get that. It's just that the only parking we could find was limited to 2 hours and no more. We rushed to finish our dinner and still got tagged. Bottom line, this left a bad taste in our mouths for SLO. We visit the central coast (SLO to Cambria) several times a year. A return to downtown SLO any time soon is unlikely.
