I’ve made several trips to the Mission, the Garden behind it and the Plaza around it. But I’d given too little attention to the Museum. On this visit I focused on the museum and I’m glad I did. There is a lot more to be...More

The mission is located in downtown San Luis Obispo. It is well preserved and provides a peek into California's history. It is an active church and you can attend mass if you are there on a Sunday.

The church is nicely decorated; the museum is interesting and tells the visitor a good deal about region as well as the mission, which was founded in the 1770s. The garden is very restful. Recommended.

Wandered into to mission after Sunday services. Very impressed with the museum that offered Catholic history as well as history of the indigenous people of the area. AND this was all free with a suggested donation. A must see if you like missions !!

This Mission and Museum is a must visit in San Luis Obispo. The neighborhood is dicey so watch your back, but this well funded Mission in terms of restoration is amazing. The long sweeping front porches, the tiled roof and all of the wonderful gardens...More
