About
Rob & Paula, bonded as a winery in '04, started with 184 cases of estate wine in '07. "We started out offering wine tastings on the front porch of our house & if the weather was bad we'd invite guests in the kitchen & drink the wine", according to Paula. After their boys were done with 4H projects, they tore down the barn & built the winery. Up the hill from the 150 yr. Old graveyard, you'll find our cozy barn style tasting room which bodes a grand fireplace & outdoor seating area with spectacular views! Rob still has his "day job" & you'll find Paula at the tasting room. From the 1st year, our wines have received Platinum, 4 STAR Gold, Gold, Chairman's Awards & many 90+ scores. Our winemaker, Jason Bushong has consistently produced crowd pleasing wines. Because of that we have grown by word of mouth & still continue to do so now. Our Skeleton Key Wine Club is growing quickly & we do many fun events for the club members & general public. Come "Drink in Peace" with us!

Hilltop vineyard with some real nice full-bodied wines
Jul 2021
Graveyard Winery is a small family-owned hilltop winery, with 16 acres of, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Petite Sirah vines.
It’s a bit off the beaten track, but the dive is really nice along miles of country roads between vine-covered hills, and well worth the effort to be out of the larger crowded wine tasting venues.
Inside the wooden ceiling tasting room/shop, are a great range of interesting souvenirs for sale, we especially like the stainless-steel wine aerators display. The whole room gives an air of peace and tranquility from the large fireplace to the coffin wine cases.
The wine tasting pour was generous, giving us an opportunity to really taste and enjoy the wines, personally, I liked the Cabernet Sauvignon the best.
We sat outside under the wisteria-covered trellis, and enjoyed the great views over the Pleasant Valleys rolling vineyards, while we did our tasting. There is also a lovely pond with a small dock surrounded by beautiful weeping willow trees.
Just in case you are wondering about the choice of name for the winery, it is named after the small historic graveyard that you turn left by on the way up the hill. (But that’s as far as the connection goes) Still worth a stop on the way back, as it is the dead center of town.!!
TIP Standing on the end of the dock, holding your favorite glass of wine makes for the perfect photo memories.

Graveyard Vineyards-Romance on Steroids
Dec 2019
I am not exaggerating when I say that Graveyard Vineyards is our favorite winery on the planet! We are fortunate enough to have been wine tasting on 5 of the 7 continents, and Graveyard is the most enchanting without a doubt. In case you are wondering, the name Graveyard is derived from the small, historic graveyard at the bottom of the hill.

The tasting room itself is homey and comfortable, complete with a large fireplace and two of the sweetest labs you’ll ever meet. However, it is the beauty and serenity of the surrounding area that sets Graveyard far apart from the others. There is a drop-dead gorgeous (no pun intended given the winery’s name…) pond, and the wildlife is always present and plentiful. The entire surrounding area would do justice to the cover of Travel and Leisure. It’s THAT beautiful! The wine itself is absolutely divine, and we enjoy the house Tombstone Red and Tombstone White equally. They are both so good that we literally have to at times flip a coin to see which bottle to savor on that visit.

If you relish wildlife, appreciate natural beauty, savor great wine, and enjoy the person or people you are with, do yourself a favor and visit this absolute gem!

Great winery
Jun 2019 • Friends
I have been a member for years. I love the wine. And I love the owners, Paula and Rob and the great staff, Vivi and Milisa are sooo great!!! And Frank (get well soon). They make everyone feel like family and friends.

The wine prices are good...from $20 to higher...some for all. The Tombstone Red is a great go to wine for anytime.

The property is beautiful!!! There is a pond you can fish in; a great outdoor area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine; and great little gifts!!!

Love it all!!!

Lovely winery!
Jul 2018 • Family
We had been to a few wineries in Paso Robles and were going to head north to leave but wanted to try just one more. We picked this place off the map and it was such a pleasant surprise.
You drive in past rows of vines and a small graveyard into a beautiful property.
The tasting was only $10 but they give you I believe 8 tastings, what a deal! The wines were delicious and you end with a desert wine poured over vanilla ice cream. Perfect for a hot day.
We walked around the pond a little, bought some dry rub for grilling, pet the cute dog and headed on our way very happily. Definitely worth a stop if you’re nearby.

Wonderful experience!
May 2018 • Couples
We had a wonderful time tasting wines at Graveyard. Yes, there is a graveyard near the entrance. The wines were excellent, but I believe the nice lady behind the counter is who made the experience for us. She asked about our tastes, where we were from, and really made some great recommendations.

Small boutique winery with fun theme
May 2018 • Couples
Near the local cemetery, so they named the winery Graveyard. They use this in the theme of the winery. Don't let the fun theme distract you from the delicious wines! They do under 4000 cases a year and we enjoyed much of what they poured. $10 tasting which is waived with purchase.

Lovely Location - Comfortable Tasting Room - Great Wine
Mar 2018 • Couples
Wonderful location, off the beaten path, north and east of the 46. Rolling hills, located by a scenic pond, in a rustic setting. We prefer more comfortable surroundings, not the castles and palaces. This was perfect. A cold day, both the fireplace and dog welcomed us. Excellent staff - excellent wine. Go out of your way for this one - there are also several other wineries in the general area to check out. Highly recommended.
