Don't let the name fool you, it's not a tourist trap wine, they actually have legitimate and professionally blended wines here. You can wine taste for $10 or $15 depending on the menu. The staff is generous and polite. Thanks for the great wine and the great time!

My aunt and cousin, friend and her daughter, and I visited the Heart Ranch Winery right after a few hours at Hearst Castle. The wine tasting set up is in one room while counter service food is on the other side. Only my aunt and I were drinking so we grabbed a spot at the bar and had two great... More

Cute cafe, gift shop, and winery. Offers lots of neat gifts and wine tasting from the Hearst Winery. Beef from the farm for sale, as well as snacks and gourmet meats and cheeses. Looks like they serve a healthy burger! Worth the stop.

Tasted some great wines and purchased a couple of bottles with the tasting fee waived. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable. One of the bottles we purchased was a very nice Chardonnay for about $25. When we said we were going to purchase that, our server gave us a sample of a gold medal Chardonnay they had for $55. It... A special place on so many levels: great wines that bring me back time and time again. Location steps away from a special harbor with pier where you can see blue-green water and if you're lucky some sea life (whales!). Directly across from Hearst Castle which is an architectural masterpiece and after touring it, you'll need a rich refreshment! And... More

We were here Saturday night for a Winemaker's dinner. We had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and the wines were superb! They even had a band playing so we could dance. Everyone seated at our table was really nice and we had a great time!

We shared a wine tasting here for the second time...the last time being 5 years ago. Ryan helped us and knew everything about the delicious wines! The tasting was $15, but was waived if you made a purchase. We loved the Chardonnay, the Tempranillo, the Petite Surah, and the Cab Franc! Delicious 5 years ago, and receiving awards and accolades... We make a point of stopping here every time we are in the neighborhood. Great wine tasting, free if you buy a bottle. the restaurant connected has the best burgers and fries. They lose a star for their terrible single bathroom.

Whenever we visit Cambria, we always make a point of visiting Hearst Ranch. The wines are very good, the setting is wonderful, and the food served at the little café (Sebastian's) right there inside the tasting room, is excellent! Make sure you have plenty of time. You'll want to stay awhile. It's just that kind of place.
