From the moment you walk through the entrance into the exquisite courtyard you get the sense that this is a first class operation. OC is so lucky to have a place to share with pride to your guests. Their special exhibits will keep you coming back.

We were amazed at the large size of the museum. Very deceptive from the outside. Great display of numerous ancient artifacts from China and historical artifacts from Polynesia and California. We arrived at 10 and finished at 12:30. We were all getting pretty hungry but noted that the menu at the restaurant was very pricey and definitely not "kid friendly".... More

I came here for an outdoor evening wedding. The venue was gorgeous and offered an intimate space for a crowd of 250+. We'll be back to check out the actual museum.

Visited with wife and friend and found it well worth time. Nice restaurant if a bit pricy for lunch. Good service. Great tour of Cunningham Photography exhibition with a fine guide doing her first docent tour. Very knowledgeable and entertaining and friendly to us from the north state. We learned a great deal from her on this thorough exhibition. We... More

Lovely museum offering a permanent collection (see the California Landscapes~ wow!) and rotating specials. The Virgin of Guadalupe was on display~ it was stunning! Even the courtyard near the parking lot is filled with sculptures and fountains~ step outside to visit it. You can down load and audio tour to your phone, there is a gift shop and restaurant. Be... Right off the 5 freeway with plenty of parking. This is a wonderful museum that has a variety of first class traveling exhibits throughout the year. The only caution is that it is in an unfortunate neighborhood. I don't mean a bad neighborhood. Just one that doesn't offer the amenities you would expect for such an upscale space. Over the... A very info exhibit, several mummies with detailed information. We really enjoyed the tiki exhibit because we have friends that duplicate these interesting figures.

A museum that sits on beautiful grounds. Lot's of outdoor area to roam or relax too. A nice serene spot in an otherwise busy area. It has a restaurant which is popular for weekday lunch. Check the schedule to see what exhibits are coming and go. Excellent exhibits and always changing. A nice piece of culture in Santa Ana.

The are a number of reasons to visit the Bowers Museum to see the current exhibit (ends January 29, 2017) featuring paintings of the Virgin of Guadalupe, the primary ones being that an exhibition of this magnitude with this subject matter is extremely rare, and it is being presented in the U.S. only at the Bowers. I am not Catholic,... More
