It is amazing that this is still a working public building as it is also an historic landmark. It is free of visit but you can’t see all of it, as there were courts in session. The tower, which is accessible by elevator or stairs, offers a 360-degree view of Santa Barbara. If you go down the stairs you can... More

I had read it was a must see and it was. The building was beautiful and the hand painted murals were pretty too. The views from the clock tower are amazing... take the time to do it. I just wish more of the building was restored. And the deciduous magnolia trees in the sunken garden were in full bloom and... More

A courthouse wouldn't be the first place on my list of things to see, but the Santa Barbara courthouse may have changed my mind. Gorgeous tile work, murals, an historic clock, and rooftop views make this a must-see stop when exploring the area.

This is a must see in Santa Barbara. The architecture is amazing , the murals are gorgeous, and the 360 view from the rooftop is spectacular.

This building is an active courthouse decorated with wonderful Mexican tile and murals. If you walk up to the roof you get a majestic view of the valley surrounding Santa Barbara. Definitely worth a visit.

I only spent a few hours in Santa Barbara and visiting the courthouse was a highlight! Elevator ride to the top for a beautiful view of the mountains and clay rooftops. Free entry!

A very beautiful town, it's worthwhile to stop by on 101 freeway to or from LA. You can experience Spanish vibe a bit in the visit.

We reserved the Mural Room for our wedding in Feb 2017. The whole process was very easy and reasonably priced. We booked about 4 months in advance with no trouble. The Mural Room is gorgeous and thankfully indoors. It rained our wedding weekend but we had no worries bc everything was inside and warm. The room holds about 100 guests... More

We had our wedding here over the weekend… And the mural room was absolutely incredible. Our guests loved the space and the price was beyond reasonable. You will have some looky-loo random people watching from the back as the entire courthouse is open to the public at all times... but in the end, I thought that was a charming aspect.... More

We took the docent tour of this amazing building. The grounds - gardens -- and interior are lovely. The mural room is a great overview of SB history, and the hallways, stairways, and other rooms are terrific. The tower gives you a great 360 view of SB.
