Driving the highway towards Solvang the Danish town we drove by Lake Cachuma. We drove out on the vista point and we were treated to the lovely view of the Bradbury Dam and Lake Cachuma.

Stayed a night in my mortorhome, $50, not far from Solvang. Did not use much of the parks facility, but did drive around it, is huge.

The campgrounds are kept very clean and very organized. The lake is only about 40% capacity. We rented a pontoon boat and had fun with the kids and grandkids.

I really loved this camp site. Great hiking trails for the kids and lots of playgrounds and things to do also. Site was clean and well managed. Only negative was the weather. It was extremely hot in the day and then extremely cold a night....More

We spent two nights in the full hookup campground. The sites are fairly large, and there is some shade. The bathrooms are rustic, but clean. The showers require $1 in quarters for 3 minutes, but worked well. It's about a half-hour to Santa Barbara, so...More

This is a great place to camp or rent a yurt, which is what we did. Quiet and beautiful! Enjoy fishing on the lake, but no swimming. I look forward to going again soon.

Great place for overnight or several nights. Good wide open spaces for RV parking or tent camping. The views are wonderful. The little store is well stocked if you forgot something. The staff, Rangers and store clerks are friendly and helpful. Boat rental available but...More

The water in the lake is low, you can tell. I've never been there before so I don't know what it normally looks like but you can tell it's low. Still it is beautiful. It was pleasantly cool in the evenings and mornings. The campground...More

This is a wonderful family destination for camping or day use. With boat rentals, a tackle shop and grill, a decent market, gas station, swimming pool, mini golf course, and multiple camping options from tent to full hook-up. Very picturesque and close to good restaurants...More

So sad to see our beautiful lake only a small fraction of its size. It has been a water source for SB but we've had to find other sources now. There is still camping, not sure about boating at this time. Best to check before...More

I will be honest with you, we only stayed there for about an hour because we didn't like the place at all. I'm sure there are some trails to hike and I think there is a swimming pool that is open during the summer. I would... More

Hi - We loved site #313. The down-side is that because it IS so nice, random folks had a tendency to wander through for the view. HS
