Perfect way of site seeing. The bike path was great.. it's nicely paved, easily to follow, and never too crowded. It's right by the ocean, so as you ride you get the most gorgeous views on both sides- mountains, and ocean. It's such a relaxing ride, and a great way to see the different Santa Barbara sites along the water!... More

Beautiful well maintained walk with easy access to beach and pier. Stay on beach side of road as inland side does not have continuous sidewalk. Light at night is adequate for seeing your way.

Walk, run, or bike - this path is a must do while in Santa Barbara. Allow time to enjoy regardless of how you are experiencing this path.

Right by the ocean, so the term "bike path" doesn't signify anything of the sort for some. They walk dogs, push strollers, walkers or wheelchairs on it instead of the sidewalk about 25 yards away. (And then there are those double-wide bike cum surrey-with-the-fringe-on-top things. Fun for a family or couples, but do they ever screw up bike traffic!) In... More

When I think about staying in Santa Barbara, riding the bike path on a beach cruiser is at the top of my list for activities. Can't wait to do it again.

A wonderful ocean front location to enjoy bike rides, rollerblading or just walking. Goes from the south end of Santa Barbara to the harbor. Occasional art shows make it a really fun place to visit.

Biking is the best way to tour SB and the other hamlets. Drivers are patient and respectful and the bike lanes are scenic. One sees a lot more on 2 wheels, and it is easy to stop, wander and to soak up the sun and the scenery.

This was across from our hotel and makes for a great before or after meal exercise experience. Beach view without the sand in your shoes.

I have biked and inline skated on the path for a number of years but parts of it are in need of repair and resurfacing. Skating would be difficult along the stretch near the "wildfowl preserve" in back of the zoo. Come on Santa Barbara, its not like you don't have the money!

We rode this bike trail from Santa Barbara to Montecito. The weather was beautiful and the ride easy - best suited for site seeing. It's only about 6 mikes round trip. Santa Barbarans are very bike frendly and super courteous when driving around cyclists. We used bikes from our hotel, but there are many bike shops in town.
