We were looking for this kind of view of the Pacific, just didnt really know where it would be. As we took our long trip along the PCH from San Diego to Santa Barbara, we ended the last evening at Shoreline Park. Just caught the sunset, which indeed was very nice. As you may see in other other reviews, there... More

I ride my bike past Shoreline weekly and it is always packed. Still parking is possible on side streets. Wonderful setting, grass area, bbq pits, children's play area and walking path.

Make sure you don't get trapped in one of the inlets between the cliffs when the tide starts to rise, but otherwise you can have a good time with a friend or a love or kids running from inlet to inlet when the waves are trying to catch you.

We visited in November. The weather was sunny and perfect. The trees overlooking the waters and view was awesome

I expected this park to be jam-packed as it's right in the main part of SB coast near the Stearns Wharf and it was Veteran's Day weekend. I was shocked to find that it wasn't crowded at all with ample parking right there (also surprisingly cheap at $2/hr). There may be nicer beaches but we weren't there for that anyway.

This is an "urban park" on the ocean. It is friendly and a happy place, but it is so attractive that many families travel from well away to have picnics. Great fun watching bikes, and outriggers, wind surfers and the likes. Seagulls need to be watched for, but a large space and a lovely bike, pedestrian trail to go up... More

and look at the beach which is stunning, and filled with dogs and smiles, but avoid going out early in the morning if you don't want to be badgered by those living in the sand

Absolute gorgeous views! Go to the Shoreline Beach Cafe for a meal, walk down the beach and up the path to the park. The views are stunning! After taking in some solitude at the park, youll be thirsty! Walk back to the Cafe for a beer or cocktail on the sand!

Currently undergoing renovations. However, this is a great area to walk, jog, or bike along the beach.

This is a very accessible park with gorgeous ocean views and only steps from picnic tables. Public Restrooms also available. Bring your take-out from Lazy Acres on the Mesa, or your own picnic or bbq and enjoy a sunset meal.
