We stopped in for about 45 minutes and learned much about the people who settled the area. There was a room devoted to the Hancocks who developed many businesses and services in the area.

This is truly a hidden gem in Santa Maria. There is plenty to read about and touch and learn. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have helped me do research on several occasions. There is something for everyone about the history of SM,

I was in this hotel in june 2015 for 1 night, the room was big and clean. Only the airconditioning was making a lot of noise.
