We've been to Bergamot Station a number of times, but not recently. We went yesterday to see a show of Ansel Adams prints at the Peter Fetterman Gallery. Wonderful. The old warehouse area houses a number of other galleries, and there are several restaurants within walking distance nearby. It's a stop on the Expo line with connecting buses. If you love art, this is a great place to go. It is literally behind the tracks of the train station so a little hard to find. Luckily we spotted it quickly but upon leaving noticed a woman pacing up and down who finally asked us if we could direct her to the galleries and she was truly 50 feet away within easy sight. But you have to look behind the tracks. Anyway, some 20 or so galleries with art raging from old masters to very avant-garde. Something for everyone who loves art. …

I respect this place is under construction but I was not welcoming whatsoever. More signage and colour would do a world of good. I was actually really enjoying checking out the variety of art work in the different galleries until an employee walked up to me and started demanding why I was there and where I worked. I asked why and he stated ‘because I asked’. Waaayyyyyyy below standard customer service sadly it put a damper on my visit as some of the other staff were very friendly and informative.…

When we travel we enjoy visiting art galleries and museums. We were excited by the idea that there would be a Large number of small galleries all in one location! However, once we began exploring the various buildings, we found most of the galleries closed or undergoing remodeling. The few galleries we saw were very different in the media presented, so they would appeal to varying tastes in art. Some we enjoyed immensely! Some were okay, and some did not appeal to us at all.…
