I visited Hook and Ladder during the Wine and Food Affair weekend. Overall, I was not impressed with their wines. Granted, their prices were lower than most of their neighboring wineries; however, for a few dollars more a bottle the difference in taste and quality was significant. Unlike many of the other reviewers, I was not impressed.

This family winery is worth the drive. Peaceful setting. It is named in honor of Cecil DeLoach the founder and a former fireman. The decor has firefighters jerseys from all over the country. Oak barrels are also a nice touch. The staff is friendly, informative and fun. But let's get down to why I go to wineries..The WINE! We tasted... More

The name Hook and Ladder refers to one of the owners being a fire man. There is a red fire truck out front and the tasting room is decorated with shirts from dozens of fire departments. In the back of the space are the oak barrels, which convey a feeling of authenticity to this family owned facility. The wines are... More

In August of 2016 we traveled to wine country and visited almost 20 wineries. This was one of the best tasting wines we tried. This winery had a great tour and tasting room, and the story how it started is even better. We ordered some wine for delivery to NOLA and would surely return to Hook & Ladder. Date of... More

I have visited Hook and Ladder for the third year on visits to Sonoma. They have good, and reasonably priced wines. They say the tasting is for five wines, but they let us try many wines. The servers are friendly and was just as enjoyable the third time. I recommend this winery for tasting and wine purchase.

This was such a feel at home winery! The owner is an firefighter and a lot of the decoration is related to this theme. They are super nice about the wine tasting and had quite a few rather delicious tastes.

$10 for 5 tastings. Their menu still says it's free but it is not. Wine is good, I just felt bait and switched by that fact. So it was ok.

Love this small winery. Great story behind the winery and they produce delicious array of wines at a great cost! Can't wait for our shipment to arrive!
