Loved the area and the small towns between wineries. My favorite was Los Olivos which had it all--excellent restaurants, inns and wineries. My e-bike made it possible for me to do the big hills and enjoy them.

Nice e-bike. 26 mile loop on full battery. No issues. Recommend online reservation. Arrive early, or night before, weekends are busy.

Thank you for your honest feedback, James. I am very sorry for your rental experience. Our rental business has increased dramatically this spring and there have been a few instances where a bike was double-booked, particularly when booked both online and over the phone by...More

A friend and I had a terrific time on this tour. Ballard Canyon and Foxen Canyon were our favorite days for the scenery of the back roads -- winding through wine and horse country. The catered lunches at vineyards were always tasty, top notch. At...More

Hi - is it possible to stay in a SB downtown Hotel and then cycle from that Hotel to several wineries in a day for tastings and nibbles? We are not huge cyclists but it is great fun when cycling between wineries for tastings - we do same in Niagara and Napa but want to know if the same is available in SB. Normally we cycle from 2k to 5k to the first winery and then about 2 to 4k to each of 3 others we might visit in a day. We (clearly) do not yet have any idea of the proximity of the wineries to SB itself or their proximity to one another. OR should we / could we book a nice 4 or 5* Hotel in middle of the wineries themselves and do the same from there? thank you

I would stay up in the wine country where our bike shop is located. Try the Santa Ynez Inn or the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn. That is where we stay for our deluxe cycling packages. Our tours include a gourmet lunch and one... More
