- Debi SSan Ramon, California663 contributionsGood setting, nice wines. It was a beautiful day at Rideau winery. The property is very inviting. Indoor and outdoor tastings. We went on a Monday it wasn’t as busy as usual. The weekends are full of fun, corn hole, maybe music etc. We enjoyed our winetasting and just chilled. Our host was very informative and really nice. Great attitude! $25 for a tasting, good pours. If you buy some wine they’ll compliment a tasting. We’d go back.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 September 2023
- Nancy S2 contributionsGo there! We love Rideau! Wonderful wines, wonderful people - a beautiful place. There's indoor or outdoor seating, and terrific food. The Pizza Margherita and the Charcuterie board are especially good. By all means - go!Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 October 2023

- C KMadison, Wisconsin1,006 contributionsFriendly, Gorgeous and Fun!We thoroughly enjoyed Rideau Vineyard. Our guide was friendly, informative, and helpful. We ordered a charcuterie board to partake while wine tasting and bought several bottles because it was so good! Besides this, it was a gorgeous place, inside and out. We were not disappointed!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 February 2024

Rideau is one of our favorite vineyards in the area. We love many of their varietals and have come back many times. Reza has always taken great care of us. However, with the new COVID restrictions, things have changed. We had a reservation which we arrived promptly for, and found a great table on the covered deck.
We were given a choice of wine flights which was great. But the entire wine flight was delivered in individual carafes all at once. They had to have been pre-poured and sitting on a counter waiting to go out. It was a 100 degree day, the whites were hot when they got to the table, and by the time we got to the reds they were really hot.
We purchased the wines that we know and love there, based on our past visits. If anyone from the winery actually reads this review, please visit some of the other local wineries and figure out a way to make the Rideau experience better. We will be back to purchase wine, but not to taste until the pandemic is over.
But THE WINES ARE FANTASTIC !!

What a spectacular place! The house/cottage is surrounded by flowers. There is a grassy lawn. You sit outside looking at the house and flowers. Although we had a reservation, we chose to sit in the overflow area, which requires the patron to go to the bar. This was amazing! Highly recommend this for ambiance and a pleasant experience.

On a 3 day visit to the area, we stopped at 16 wineries. By far, this was the finest stop. We were greeted by Reza in a beautiful tasting room. We had never been to Rideau. The wines were extraordinary. We particularly liked the Estate Viognier, the Estate Grenache and the Englishmen Sangiovese. We will visit here on our next trip for sure.

What a wonderful vineyard. The wine is special. Especially their Pinot and grenache. And the white are wonderful too. The grounds are beautiful and the people are warm, kind and welcoming. It feels like a family.
Plan to spend 2x the amount of time you expect. To soak it all in. You will not want to leave!

We spent a wonderful afternoon basking in the sun right on the grass alongside the Rideau house. We had fun during our wine tasting and decided to spend the afternoon there. They have wonderful music playing in the background so you lose track of time. Definitely worth the drive.

The grounds of the winery were breathtakingly beautiful. Three of us walked in for wine tastings. My two friends had never done this before and I had really built up the experience. This was our first stop and a terrible experience. We walked in and were never acknowledged in any way. We went up to the bar and waited for quite some time to be served. It appeared we were invisible. Never acknowledged. We had to stand because young children with their parents were sitting on two of the stools. We had to ask to be served and really were not interested at tjis point but pushed on. We were served as if it was a burden. There was very little info verbalized about the wines. The young woman was not friendly and made us feel as if we were a burden. We were not impressed with the wines and after the experience would not have purchased if we did like them.

Hello, is it acceptable to bring an 11 and 9 year old to this vineyard? If so, would the tour be appropriate? I believe they'd enjoy the beauty of the grounds. They are accostumed to travel and touring museums etc. Thank you.

Yes, this place is very family friendly. However, you should probably call them to ask about children on the tour.
