Anyone coming to Sonoma will love it's charm. The town is built around the park center with the old City Hall in the middle. Plenty of restaurants, shops, wine tasting, art galleries, few bars and cheese tasting too. If you are a first time visitor,...More

Sonoma had a lot of picture perfect areas. Lots of shops and art work. We also visited the home of General Vallejo and the mission. If you are not in to history, you probably would not enjoy that part. Our favorite little town was Yountville...More

This is the downtown of Sonoma. A square, a block on each side, surrounding a park and courthouse etc. All around are shops, restaurants, etc. Lots of lovely places to pop in during a lovely stroll around the square.

So many good restaurants. It’s quaint old California. Much nicer than Napa. Only complaint is that I wish the stores stayed open later like till 9pm so you could shop after dinner.

Never did get to walk the whole plaza. One could definitely get lots of great food and wine tasting right in plaza BUT driving less than 12 miles out you can experience the whole wine production etc.

So many things to do here and it is not big. Many wine stores and restaurants around the plaza, also a barracks museum very interesting to visit and go back in time. Many cute shops to explore too!

Nice shops and tasting rooms. Family run stores that are more accessible than higher end store found in Healdsburg. Nice Irish bar and hotels on the square. An original mission on the square.

I think the people above me have answered the question. Airporter bus & the variety of wine tour buses. Of course the taxi services, maybe even Uber/Lyft can help you out.
