YOU MUST RENT BIKES AND DO THIS! Especially if you like to be outdoors..Be safe tho! Wear a helmet, be cautious of other riders sharing the bike path as some fly down and some cruise.

We hired bikes for two hrs and did some of the lakeside trail then the river trail. Well signposted. Separate bike lane from cars. Not too hilly. Very enjoyable.

We made a last minute decision to take a short 1 hour walk down this trail and we spent some time on the Truckee River. We definitely want to come back next time we are in Tahoe. Biking next time!

The parts of the bike trail that were accessible were great! Well paved and easy to follow. However, some maintenance was being done and parts were closed, forcing bikes to exit the path and ride on the streets.
