Expect to search for a parking spot, and walk a ways to the best overlook. The view is worth the effort. Bring your camera and a support (tripod or monopod). Be careful crossing the road.

This is really just a pull off on the road. But what a fabulous view of Emerald bay and most of Lake Tahoe with all the surrounding mountains. I visited in January so the mountains were white with snow.

I have stopped her dozens of times over the years and it NEVER gets old. It is worth the stop regardless if you are going from point A to B, or to make it your destination for an hour. It is worth it!

Well worth a stop on your drive around Tahoe - absolutely breathtaking views of Emerald Bay. Definitely try to go early - by midday this place is gridlock!

Excellent views of Emerald Bay. We had no problem parking and it wasn’t crowded. We went around 2pm on a Thursday in October. Loved my pics. Stunning area.
