We came skiing on New Year's Day. I've been skiing here for over 45 years and grew up skiing here. I skied here almost every other weekend for 25+ years. The negative: I would have given it five stars but the price is just out of control and way too expensive. $149.00 for a day of skiing is outrageous! The... More

I love Alpine just because it's less crowded, even on busy holiday season the lines were not horrible. It made my snowboarding days more efficient and fun. We always found a place to put our boards and people on the mountain and chair lifts were super nice and helpful to guide us on what runs to take and snow conditions.... More

Very crowded has a lot of potential with good snow but many people ski out of control and too fast seems dangerous

I got in some early runs this season. About half the mountain was open. There were some icy spots but if you have sharp edges on your skis or board it shouldn't be a problem. This place is also owned by Squaw so you can ski both places in the same day if you want with your lift ticket. There's... More

Nice 2h return walk above Alpine Meadows to the Five Lakes. Good views across the mountains. Trail was in good condition, and we were able to achieve a height gain of 1000' which took us above most of the surrounding trees for good views

This is an awesome ski resort it was so fun. All the runs are so fun. It has the best blance of runs. You could ski the easy blue squares in the center of the mountain or you could go on a 2 hour hike to ski very amazing beautiful fun and hard terrain. I spend most of my winter... More

I enjoy the peace and serenity existing at Alpine meadows in Spring, summer and especially in fall. Great trails ( some are challenging, Shirley Lake) Of course for skying, Alpine station is TOP. great shuttle.

Don't forget this gem. Family feel and really a great aspect of Tahoe. Can't wait to ski there again some time

This is Squaw Valley's smaller cousin resort. so we took a day over here to check it out. It was a spring Sunday and it was anything but busy. We had a lot of the runs to ourselves. But that said, most of the runs on the "backside" which seems to face South were just too sloppy to be fun... More

Your pass gets you access to both Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley (take the free shuttle bus between the two-runs every 20 minutes), but for fewer crowds and a more family-friendly resort, this gets my vote. Great terrain, well groomed and good lift line management. If you arrive late, you'll have to park a long way away (or worse, down... More
