Funky may be too critical of the grounds... nice little funky nine holer. There were geese everywhere when we played. We called one area Goose Poop Alley Oop. Great setting - pretty trees - rough roads for carts. I like a libation and round.

This is a 9 hole course with a filtered lake view. You are surrounded by lovely mature pine trees. Getting there - navigate to the Bnak of America on North Lake. Enter the parking lot, keep the bank on your right and pass it. The clubhouse will be behind the bank. One reviewer complained about dirt patches and weeds - I would like to point out that California has been in the midst of a serious drought that lasted 7+ years. The golf course is part of the PUD (how responsible would it be if the PUD were keeping an emerald carpet while the rest of the town was bone dry?) The Lake Tahoe Basin prides itself on natural landscapes - weeds are part of nature. There are a lot of natural foliage surrounding the tee boxes and greens - moving on.... The course is narrow and it can be confusing. Orient yourself with the map of the course.Don't worry about shanking one into cars or businesses that are butted up to the 2nd tee and 3rd fairway - there are large nets. The 4th tee requires you to take a drive through the parking lot. The ground is marked to help guide you. To make it 18 holes, simply play the course again. We did not enjoy lunch at the course, but the best hot dog was advertised on the cart. Next time. The staff was very helpful. Carts were clean and charged. The carts come equipped with a ball and club washing compartment! I obsessively washed my gear. There is no cooler on board. 1st and 9th green seemed fast. Some of the greens appeared banked - it was the surrounding landscape - you have to channel your inner Jason Day/Lydia Ko and get down to inspect the green itself. I saw young families, beginners, experienced players, teens, and Dogs. Yes Dogs. I don't know if there is an official policy allowing dogs, but I saw 4 well behaved dogs enjoying the sun and watching their owners play golf. If you have ever golfed in Sacramento, at Haggin Oaks or Foothill Golf center - this course is similar in upkeep and ambiance - funky. There are online specials for this course.

This 9 hole course is in Tahoe City, wonderful location but in horrible condition. Fairways are bare dirt in many places and weeds surround a few of them. This course could be a gem if properly maintained. We know, because a few years ago it was much better shape. However, as local residents, we no longer enjoy playing there.

Owned and leased out by the local Public Utility District, this golf course is in a beautiful setting right behind the town. The course is not challenging but fun, with some par 5 holes. A couple of fairways are parallel and too close together. Very laid back golf community at this course.

Not a stuffy place. We played twice in a week. 9 hole course with some par 5 holes. Well maintained and easy to get to. Enjoyed the low key atomsphere.
