Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Worst wine I have ever had at a winery.

Me and my group have been to a number of wineries all over California and this one is the worst as far as wine quality. I have never been to a winery where I couldn't find one wine I enjoyed. Even their best seller tasted only okay.

We did talk to one of the workers and he mentioned the taste of most their wines was different before the pandemic, so perhaps they got a new winemaker?

We were excited to try Peltzer due to all the high reviews, but it appears they are not what they once were.

The decor is very nice, and they have a stage for live music, so that's good. Also, all the employees were pleasant to talk to.

FYI, you need to go get in line every time you want your next tasting, which is different if you're used to wineries that bring it to you, and the line gets long quickly.

We were asked to leave because one of our party had an infant sleeping in the stroller. This was asked after we had purchased tastings so they were kind enough to let us finish but they do not allow children of any age in the tasting room on Fridays and Saturdays. Unfortunately the wine was up to par with our experience so we won’t be coming again!

What a sweet winery! Beautifully rustic, charming location and overall wonderful! Delicious wines and a great staff! The gift shop area has a lot of cute items for purchase. They even have a small ice skating rink. This made for a really pleasant Sunday afternoon. Will definitely visit Peltzer again.

This is a cute place and a newer winery. The wines are paired with artisan bread, very cool. However, pouring wine using a ONE ounce measured alcohol pourer is truly bad form. For $20, I expect more than five sips of wine. You don’t even have enough to try more than one bite of the bread. Serious STINGY. I even mentioned it to the bartender as he poured as I watched the “barely a splash” and he said it was the law. Ummm.... having visited dozens of California and several Temecula wineries, I’ve yet to see a metered pourer with a 1 ounce serving be the law. Unfortunate bad tasting form for what were some of the most enjoyable wines we tried in the area.

Small selection of wine on tasting menu, but it did come with bread pairings. Not too family friendly considering its also a farm. Wine was good.

Fantastic setting, lovely building and the wine tasting was great. Sampled 6 wines and our friends kinky bought us 2 Zinfandels and Pinot Grigio for my birthday. Really enjoyed my visit and thrilled with the wine I got

We love wine and love visiting winemakers - from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire Valley, Napa, Sonoma, and Santa Ynez. Temecula used to be the slightly poor relation, but over the past ten years or so, the quality of the wines has reached or even exceeded their peers worldwide.

We were referred to Peltzer by friends that "knew" their wine and how lucky we were to find them. The wines are terrific and unquestionably world class. But visiting the winery is an experience in itself.

It lies just a half mile or so of the main Rancho California Highway that runs through the Temecula Wine District. The tasting area is a huge barn like structure that has character and there are many areas around the barn for relaxing and tasting your wine and possibly enjoying a picnic or light snack. This is our favorite winery in the area and their wines from Italian Reds, to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, to whites such as Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc should confirm their world class status.

Casual farm like atmosphere and seems to appeal to the groups with kids. Farm animals on the property from the end of Sept through Oct. Wines seemed average to us.

I've been meaning to write this review for awhile. We've been coming to Peltzer for a few years now (became members on our first visit). We love it here and only wish we lived close enough to take full advantage of all the fun events they have going on. When we first joined the winery was pretty small which was actually nice. Since then it's popularity has grown which can lead to over crowding. I am very happy for them the owners and wish them only success!

Love the wine
Love the atmosphere
Love how they are family friendly
Love the events!

Really different from most wineries we've experienced; has a fun, young, hip & cool vibe to it. They also have an artisan bread pairing to go with one of the wine tasting options that truly brought the experience to another level. The wine was mostly tasty, however we felt the price of the bottles were out of sync. Their grounds are quite cool to walk around and explore. Definitely worth adding to your wine tour list
