I love off the beaten path, boutique wineries and this one has quickly become a favorite. Mike James, grows the grapes, makes, bottles and ships the wine himself. Stop in for a tasting and you will be treated to some really interesting stories from Jim's past and present. If you have fallen out of favor with merlot, you will fall back in love with it here. Treat yourself to a hour of lovely wines, conversation and some of the best views you will ever see anywhere.…

Our trio took a drive into Templeton and visited with Mike at Hidden Oak. It is always such a pleasure and treat for us to meet the winemakers and talk with them about their wines. Mike was so friendly and down to earth. We had a great tasting with him. If you are a lover of reds as we are, you MUST visit Mike at Hidden Oak. His Malbec is heaven in a glass. His Encanto is enchanting. He has to Zins one less peppery than the other. We got them all !!! We came away being members of his club. Please, take the time to go visit Mike. We can't wait to see him again.…
